How to Fill NIFT Application Form 2020? - National Institute of Fashion Technology released NIFT application form on October 23, 2019 in online mode. The link to fill the application form will be active till December 31, 2019. In case candidates forget to fill the application form within the deadline, they can submit the same by January 4, 2020 with a late fee. Checking the eligibility criteria and steps to fill the application form beforehand is mandatory for applicants to avoid any confusion. If applicants commits any mistakes in the application form, they can correct it later when the edit window opens. The window for updating/editing the application form will be active from January 1 to 4, 2020. NIFT entrance exam 2020 entrance exam will be held on January 19. Steps to Fill NIFT Application Form 2020

Follow the registration process step-by-step given below to make your task easy.

Step 1- Create Login to apply Online

Candidates have to fill the following information to create their login.

  • Date of birth

  • Re-enter date of birth

  • Category

  • Are you a person with disabilities?

  • Email ID

  • Re-enter email ID

  • Programme type

After filling all the above-mentioned information, read the instructions given in the application form of NIFT, tick against ‘Yes,’ and then click on submit button.

Candidates will be redirected to a new page where they will have to click on ‘Proceed to Login Button.’

Step 2 - Login

Candidates are required to log in using the registered email ID, Date of birth and verification code for filling NIFT 2020 application form.Next, they have to click on ‘Submit’ button.

Step 3 - Fill NIFT 2020 Application Form

Candidates can see that the personal details provided by them while registering for NIFT 2020 are already filled. Next, they will have to fill the following details:

  • Preference for the test centre

  • Mother’s name

  • Father’s name

  • Gender

  • Nationality

  • Domicile

Present Address

  • City

  • State

  • Pincode

Phone Number

  • Landline number

  • Mobile number

Qualification

  • Class 12 details

  • Status of the examination

Candidates have to pick the option from the drop down menu for the question ‘ From where did you get the information about NIFT admission’? Next, they have to carefully read the declaration, and click on the check box of ‘I agree’.They should click on ‘Save’ button after checking the information.

Step 4 - Upload photograph and signature.

In this section of NIFT 2020 application form, candidates will have to upload the documents according to the specifications below. Click on ‘Proceed to make Payment’ button to proceed to the next step.

Step 5 - Make the Payment

Candidates can make the payment of NIFT application fee through online mode as well as Demand Draft (DD). They can choose the option for making the payment as per their convenience. The bank and transaction charges on the fee will have to be borne by the applicants.

Window to update/edit NIFT application form 2020

Once the application fee is paid, the authorities will provide facility to edit the application. The window to edit or update the application form will be active from Jan 1, 2020 (12 p.m.) to Jan 4, 2020 (4p.m.)

Passing marks may vary every year.

As you might know , nift entrance consist of cat-50% gat-30% and situation test-20%. So if you scored well in written exam you can easily get among top 2000 and get selected for situation test.

Marks vary year to year. Your performance in situation test will actually decide your rank.

NIFT Examination is conducted for admission to B.Des and B.F.Tech programmes. Candidates after completing their 10+2, can appear for the NIFT Exam. Final year candidates can also apply. But there are different eligibility criteria for both the exams. The exam consists of creative ability test (CAT) for both B.Des and B.FTech while the general ability test (GAT) is only for B.Des. NIFT Situation Test or GD/PI Dates: Candidates who clear NIFT entrance exam for BDes course admission then need to appear for the Situation Test round wherein their material handling skills are tested. Situation test/ GD/ PI admission round will be conducted in April-May, 2020.
