What's New in M.Des Admission 2020?
The total number of seat intake for admission to M.Des in IIT Bombay for last year (2019) was 66. However there has been an increase in the number of seat intake for the academic year 2020-2019. Now IIT Bombay offer total 78 seats for M.Des admission to Industrial Design Centre (IDC). For PwD candidates a total of 4 seats are reserved which is 5% of total available seats. And for the EWS candidates, from the total available seats total 8 seats are reserved.

IIT Bombay M.Des Admission 2020 eligibility criteria include the academic qualification and the minimum percentage of marks which the candidate must score to be eligible to apply for admission.
Minimum percentage of marks: Candidates who are from the general category must have scored at least 55% marks while those who are from the general category must have scored at least 50% marks in the respective streams

The four-year B.Sc (engineering) course after HSC is considered equivalent to Bachelor of engineering and bachelor of technology.
Candidates will have to hold a professional diploma/certificate in design: 10+2+4 years (minimum four-year diploma course)
