NIFT Counselling 2023 - The National Institute of Fashion Technology will commence the registration process for NIFT 2023 counselling tentatively in the last week of May 2023. NIFT results has been declared on March 10. The NIFT counselling registration will open for all candidates who have the Common Merit Rank (CMR) in NIFT 2023. NIFT 2023 Counselling Overview

NIFT 2023 counselling process involves five-seat allocation rounds and is conducted to fill a total of 4,517 seats. The authority will announce the final result of NIFT 2023 for all UG/ PG programme tentatively in the second week of May 2023. NIFT is conducted every year to offer admission to the student in the design programmes.

Candidates who successfully registered to counsel can participate in NIFT counselling 2023. Candidates who cleared the NIFT entrance exam, situation test, and GDPI can fill out the NIFT 2023 counselling registration form at the official NIFT website - nift.ac.in.

Documents to be uploaded for NIFT Counselling 2023

Candidates must upload the following mentioned below documents and their photocopies for verification purposes. The Institute will verify the documents during the online NIFT counselling session.

• Self-attested copy of the certificate of the 10+2 exam or equivalent.
• Self-attested copy of the class 10 mark sheet (Only for date of birth)
• Self-attested copy of the class 10 certificate (Only for date of birth)
• Latest photograph
• Self-attested copy of class 10 +2 mark sheet or affidavit (if result not declared by the board)
• Valid PWD certificate if applicable
• Copy of 12th class school leaving certificate (only for domicile seats)
• SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy) category certificate if applicable
• Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category certificate from the specified authorities if applicable
• Certificate of clearing 10+2/equivalent examination, showing the subjects offered by him/her in the exam. Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics for BFTech.
• Undertaking for the candidate seeking provisional admission-(Annexure-I)
• Undertaking from the students as per provisions of anti-ragging (Annexure-II)
• Form for withdrawal of admission (Annexure-III)
• Undertaking about eligibility, fee, and refund (Annexure-IV)
• Medical fitness certificate in the prescribed format (Annexure VI)
• Authorization letter from the candidates, who cannot attend the NIFT counselling 2023 in person (Annexure-VII) (not applicable for PWD candidates)

Important - If any of the above-mentioned documents are in a language other than Hindi or English, an authentic translation in any of the mentioned languages should be produced and duly verified by the issuing institution/gazette officer/self-attested by the candidate at the time of NIFT 2023 counselling procedure. How to register for NIFT 2023 Counselling?

The steps to register for NIFT counselling are as follows.

Step 1 : Registration

• Visit the official website - nift.ac.in
• Click on the ' Register for Counselling' link
• Enter the login details - application number and d.o.b
• Click on the 'Submit' button
• Provide the required information along with Domicile State and alternate contact details
• Click on the 'Proceed' button

Note - A registration confirmation message will be received on the registered email id. Email ID, Date of birth, and Password as filled by the candidates will be used as login credentials to complete the online registration for NIFT counselling 2023.

Step 2: Upload the documents

• Login to the account using the required credentials
• Upload the requisite documents
• Click on the 'Final Submit' button

Step 3: Make the payment

• Click on the 'Make Payment' button
• Pay the registration fee

All successfully submitted documents and fees will be verified by NIFT. After the verification, candidates will receive a Zoom meeting link with the respective date of counselling and further instructions on their registered email id. Candidates must note that in case the NIFT official found any issues in the submitted documents and received the fee then registration will be rejected & sent back to the candidates with remarks for correction.

The candidate will be able to re-upload the documents or reprocess the fee as per the rejection remark within the stipulated time. In case of failure in re-submission of form within the stipulated time, candidate registration for counselling will be cancelled and the candidate will only be able to participate in subsequent rounds of counselling if any.

Important guidelines for NIFT counselling 2023

• NIFT conducts the counselling process to fill 4517 seats over its seventeen campuses. For the first round of NIFT 2023 counselling, candidates are not required to pay any registration fee.

• To register for the NIFT counselling, students need to enter the requisite information such as form number, date of birth, and password. Candidates must upload a soft copy of valid documents for verification purposes during the online counselling session.

• After successful registration, candidates will receive a Zoom meeting link on their registered email id.

• Based on the merit list and seat availability students will be called for counselling. In the presence of the nodal officer, students can select a seat by clicking on the computer screen.

• Candidates will have to pay the full fee at the NIFT campus after the allocated seat. Students will receive an allotment letter/receipt duly signed by the nodal officer, which is mandatory to collect from the registration portal.

Details regarding round 2 of the NIFT 2023 Counselling Procedure

• In case, if candidates take admission once and then withdraw, then they will not be considered to participate in the subsequent rounds of NIFT counselling.

• Based on merit, candidates will have to participate in the second round of the counselling process.

• PWD candidates shall not be applicable for the 2nd round of NIFT counselling

• Differently abled candidates who will be allocated NRI seats in round 1 will not be applicable for the next round of NIFT counselling 2023.

• To participate in the second round of counselling for NIFT, candidates need to register online.

• Barring the registration fee for the NIFT counselling, the whole procedure for round 2 of counselling will be the same as in the first round. By making an online payment of Rs. 5,000 Candidates will have to register/re-register.

• If there are any vacant NRI seats, then they will be offered for admission to the students in round 2.

Allotted seat withdrawal and fee refund

Candidates who have taken the admission but wish to cancel the allocated seat then they can request a refund of the fee. In that case, students can submit the withdrawal and refund request online mode only on the Portal.

NIFT will not consider any request for withdrawal of admission and fee refund through offline mode or request by email. Candidates can apply for admission withdrawal and fee refund on the portal within the stipulated time.

Cancellation of NIFT 2023

• Qualifying for the entrance exam does not mean admission is guaranteed.

• NIFT has the liberty to cancel the admission of a candidate at a later stage if the institute is dissatisfied with his/her character, past behaviour, or antecedents.

• In case, if the institute found candidates getting admission at NIFT based on false information or by hiding relevant facts, then their admission will be cancelled without any notice by the Director of the campus/Director (admission). The fee deposited will not be refunded.

• To avoid the cancellation of their seat, candidates will have to report to the allotted campus within a week of the commencement of the session.

• Merit will be valid only for the programme for which the candidate has appeared. Candidates will not be allowed to get admission to any other category/course.
