UCEED Syllabus 2021 - Indian Institute of technology(IIT), Bombay prescribed the syllabus of UCEED are the topics in which the questions of the entrance exam for both Part A and Part B will be framed according to it. The UCEED syllabus for part A consists of six topics. Students can check the syllabus of UCEED from the following.
1. Observation and Design Sensitivity
Students must be able to observe the hidden properties in people, events, ordinary things, situations and must have the ability to think critically about them.
Aspirants must have the ability to apply attention to reasoning, classifying, analyzing, predicting and inferring. Also they must be able to find the subtle differences in visual properties and aesthetic outcomes.

In this section, such questions like manipulation of 2D shapes and 3D objects and their spatial relationships, scientific concepts and knowledge of practical, understanding of transformation and everyday mechanical.
3. Environmental and Social Awareness
In this topic, questions will be asked from climate, vegetation, population, water, pollution, weather, natural resources etc. and their implications on the design of products, images, environmental and infrastructure.
The questions will be framed on the basis of awareness of social and cultural connection with the history of the design, environmentally sustainable design response and socially responsible, designed artefact, sculpture, literature and history of art.
4. Language and Creativity
Students must have a good knowledge of English grammar such as verb pattern, uses of tenses, active and passive as well as sentence structure.
Aspirants must be able to understand standard English
Candidates must have good vocabulary skills and comprehension.
Aspiring candidates must be able to think creatively with regard to alternatives, ability to distinguish innovative options and get off the beaten track.
5. Analytical and logical reasoning
Candidates must be able to look at the discern pattern within the information, be it qualitative or quantitative in nature.
Students must be able to weigh opinions, arguments or solutions against appropriate criteria.
Candidates must have the ability to use logic and structured thinking to reduce from a short passage which statements are the most accurate response to a posed question.
Aspiring students must also be able to examine the discern bias and assumptions, whether evidence and support conclusions
Questions will be asked based on data interpretation, brain teasers and patterns.
6. Design Thinking and Problem solving
Students must have the ability to used signs, visual analogies, symbols and metaphors
Aspirants must have the ability to understand the complexity, identification of the problems and select solutions and general alternatives.
Candidates must be able to draw people, products or scenes in proportion with good line quality, proportion, composition, perspective and shading.
