Change in UCEED exam pattern - Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay changed the exam pattern of UCEED 2020. Initially, there was only one part whereas the question paper has been divided into two parts this year - part A and B. The part A has three sections - Numerical Answer Type (NAT), Multiple Select Questions (MSQ) and Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ). Earlier, the number of questions asked in NAT, MSQ and MCQ was 20, 20 and 45, respectively. The total number of questions that will be asked in each section has been decreased in 2020. Candidates will have to answer 18 questions in NAT, 18 in MSQ and 32 in MCQ. Also, the authorities have changed the marking scheme. In 2019, three marks were awarded for responding correctly in NAT and MSQ while four marks in MCQ. Compared to the last year, test-takers will be given four marks in NAT and MSQ while 3 marks in MCQ. Last year, -1.32 marks were deducted in MCQ while -0.71 marks will be deducted in 2020.

Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay released the Final answer key for Part a on February 4. The draft answer key of UCEED 2020 was released on January 21 and candidates could challenge it till January 27 till 5:00 p.m. The authorities also released the UCEED 2020 response sheet which the candidates could download by entering the necessary login details. With the help of UCEED answer key 2020, candidates will get to know how many questions they have answered correctly and how many marks they are likely to score. While calculating the marks, candidates must ensure that they follow the same marking scheme as mentioned in the question paper.
As per the exam analysis of UCEED 2020, the exam was moderately difficult. The total number of questions that were asked were as per the new exam pattern that was prescribed by IIT Bombay. By going through UCEED exam analysis 2020, candidates can assess what are the likely marks that they would score. The biggest challenge for the candidates was time management.
The result of UCEED 2020 will be announced by IIT, Bombay on March 13. In order to check UCEED result 2020, candidates will have to use their login credentials. Candidates will be allotted seat on the basis of the rank, category and choice of the institute. Depending on the total number of seats that are left vacant, there will be four rounds of UCEED seat allotment 2020. Candidates can either freeze or float the option at the time of UCEED 2020 seat allotment. In order to confirm the seat, candidates will have to pay fees of Rs 60,000 in online mode.
Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay released the mock test of UCEED 2020 on January 14. Candidates can practice from UCEED 2020 mock test and get to know how to navigate between different sections. Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay mentions the eligibility criteria for UCEED 2020 which includes the parameters which the candidates must meet before they start filling the application form. This particular clause is applicable to those candidates who belong to the general category while those who are from SC, ST or PwD, they must be born on or after October 1, 1989.
Total Number of Attempts - Candidates who would be appearing for UCEED 2020, they have the option to appear in the exam two consecutive times. The score for UCEED 2020 will be valid for a year and candidates will be entitled to admission to the corresponding academic year.

Your seat will remain afloat till the third round and it is after that it will be automatically frozen. If any round is held after the third round then in such a case allotment will be done but there will be freezing of seats.
You can withdraw the seat till the last date of third round of seat acceptance.
If the seats are left vacant after the third round of seat allotment, then in such a case candidates will be allotted depending on the category and the rank that they have secured. In the supplementary round, allotment will close at least one day before the day for reporting and registration to the institute.

There are 3 criteria for appearing in UCEED 2020. You should be been born on or after October 1, 1995 if you belong to UR/EWS/OBC-NCL and on or after October 1, 1990 if you belong to SC,ST,PWD. You can attempt UCEED only upto 2 times in consecutive years. You should have passed 12th or equivalent in 2019 or should appear in 2020. Those who wrote their 12th in 2018 or before that are not eligible. You wrote your 12th in 2018 and so you are not eligible for UCEED 2020.
No uceed is for admission to bachelor of design course offered by some of the top institutes including IIT Bombay and IIT Guwahati.
