AIEED 2023: Registration Phase 4 (Beings), Application Form, Exam Dates, Syllabus, Pattern, Preparation, Counselling

AIEED 2023: All India Entrance Examination for Design (AIEED) is a national-level exam conducted by the ARCH Academy of Design for admission to undergraduate courses available at their Delhi and Jaipur campuses. The exam is conducted on various dates for admission to fashion and design programmes and is held in two stages - General Ability Test (GAT) and Creative Ability Test (CAT). 

The authority will conduct the AIEED entrance exam 2023 for the May batch from April 5 to 15, 2023 (Phase 4). For phase 1, the AIEED exam 2023 was held from December 21 to 30, 2022. For phase 2, the exam was held from January 15 to 30 and for phase 3, it was conducted from February 1 to 15, 2023.

ARCH Academy of Design released the application form for the All India Entrance Examination for Design 2023 in online mode on the official website aieed.com. The last date to submit the AIEED 2023 registration for phase 1 was closed on December 15. Phase 2, was closed on January 10, 2023. Phase 3, the application form was closed on February 10, 2023. For Phase 4, the registration will be ended on April 15, 2023.

The entrance exam consists of three stages - General Aptitude Test (GAT), the Creative Aptitude Test (CAT), and Interaction. AIEED 2023 results will be declared at least seven days after the conclusion of all the stages of the AIEED examination.

Students have to fulfill the eligibility criteria to give the AIEED 2023

• Students must have cleared 10+2 grade through CBSE or ICSE or IB or State Board or any other board equivalent to the ones mentioned above as per UGC guidelines. Any student appearing for the 12th-grade exam can also write AIEED 2023. Students who have cleared the first round of NID or NIFT or NATA are eligible to apply directly for the Interaction and Portfolio round.
• Class 10+1 students can also give AIEED 2023. Students, if qualified, will be eligible for direct admission in the academic year 2023-24 after clearing the last stage of AIEED 2023.
• Students who have cleared the PTE Exam (Academics) within 1 year of course commencement are eligible to give the AIEED 2023.

The application form for AIEED 2023 (Phase 4) for the May batch will be closed on April 15. Students have to pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs 3,000 either through an online method of debit/ credit card, internet banking, and demand draft or through the offline method of cash payment.

ARCH academy of the design prescribed the AIEED 2023 exam pattern which includes all the parameters of the design entrance test. Candidates who want to pursue a bachelor of design programme at ARCH academy must go through the exam pattern of AIEED 2023.

AIEED CAT Exam Pattern

AIEED CAT 2023 is the second stage of the AIEED and is given by students who have passed the GAT. The duration of the test is 3 hours and it can be given online or offline at one of the designated test centers. The exam will happen within three days of GAT and it assesses the student's logical reasoning, creativity skills along design sensitivity.

As per the AIEED 2023 exam pattern for the creative aptitude test (CAT), candidates will be analyzed based on the following topics.

• Articulation skills both visual & written

• Design thinking

• Lateral thinking & Creative problem solving

• Awareness of design principles

AIEED 2023 Exam Pattern for Video, Portfolio, and Personal Interaction

In this section, questions will be asked from the following topics.

• Composure

• General Articulation Skills

• Range of work in the portfolio

• Focus and clarity

• Depth of thinking

Admit card for AIEED 2023 will be available to the student a week before the AIEED entrance exam. A printout of the admit card must be carried by the student to the test center. AIEED admit card is an important document and will also be needed during the personal interview and admission to the design courses.

Results of the AIEED 2023 GAT will be announced after 7 days after the AIEED test date. The qualified students will have to appear for the second stage, which is AIEED 2023 CAT. The authority will probably inform the candidates about the result of AIEED 2023 through SMS.  Candidates who will be selected will have to appear for AIEED 2023 counselling.

Mode of Counselling: Online, Offline

Candidates who will qualify for the two stages of AIEED 2023 - GAT and CAT  will have to appear for the counselling process. Candidates will have to carry attested copies of the requested documents for AIEED counselling. 

An interview will also be held on the same day along with the verification of the submitted documents. The result of the interview will be announced on the same day by the ARCH Academy of Design.

Selection of students to the undergraduate design programmes at ARCH Academy of Design is strictly done on a merit basis. The cumulative performance of the student in all the parameters given below is taken into consideration for the final selection:

• Performance in past education like 10+2th grade, 10th grade, etc
• AIEED 2023 exam score in GAT and CAT
• Performance in the Interview along with the Portfolio showcased by the student
