GLS Design Aptitude Test (GLS DAT)

GLS DAT 2023: GLS Institute of Design, Ahmedabad is conducting the 2nd round of admissions for its B.Des and Integrated M.Des program. GLS Design Aptitude Test 2023 for Round 2 was conducted on April 22 and 23, in online and offline modes. Admit cards for the GLS DAT exam has been sent through email to the successfully registered candidates. Admission to the Bachelor of Design (B.Des) or Integrated Master of Design (M.Des) courses at GLS Institute of Design will be based on GLS DAT 2023 merit rank.

Earlier, the authority commenced the round 2 registration process for GLS DAT 2023 in online mode - glsid.org. Eligible candidates filled out the GLS DAT 2023 application form by April 15, 2023. To complete the GLS DAT 2023 registration, applicants should pay an application fee of Rs 2000, in online mode. 

Candidates received a confirmation email on the successful submission of the GLS DAT exam form. Also, the candidates received emails with information about their GLS DAT entrance exam and interview.

What is GLS Institute of Design DAT?

GLS University, Ahmedabad offers admission to those interested in four-year undergraduate and five-year integrated postgraduate programs at GLS Institute of Design. To gain admission into the design programs offered by the GLS Institute of Design, applicants must take the GLS Design Aptitude Test (GLS DAT) conducted every year. • Candidates who completed Higher Secondary (10+2) from State Board/ CBSE/ ISCE/ IB or equivalent with minimum of 50% marks are eligible to apply for the GLS Design Aptitude Test 2023.

• For the Integrated M.Des course, students should hold an undergraduate degree.

• There is no upper or lower age limit to appear in the GLS DAT 2023 exam.

GLS Institute of Design commenced the registration process for GLS DAT 2023 for Round 2 in online mode. Candidates can fill out the GLS DAT entrance exam application form till April 15, 2023, at glsid.org. To complete the GLS DAT 2023 registration process, students have to pay an application fee of Rs 2000 in online mode.

How to fill out the GLS DAT 2023 application form?

To fill out the application form for GLS DAT 2023, applicants must follow the steps mentioned below.

• Step 2: Next, find and click on the ‘Admissions’ link at the right middle of the page.

• Step 3: Then, click on the “Click here to Apply” button.

• Step 4: It will redirect you to the GLS DAT 2023 application form page. From there, register your valid details and enter the “Register” button.

• Step 5: Next, log in to the dashboard using the login credentials and fill out the GLS DAT exam application form.

• Step 6: Then pay the application fee for GLS DAT 2023.

• Step 7: Finally, submit the application form and take a printout of it for future reference.

As the GLS DAT exam is approaching, candidates can look for various exam preparation tips to crack the GLS DAT 2023 exam. Below are some quick last-minute preparation tips that candidates can follow;

Focus on the syllabus: The GLS DAT syllabus is not specified by the GLS Institute of Design. However, the exam aims to assess a candidate's design ability. Questions asked will be based on Theme & Colour Inter-relationship, Mood, Colour Terminology, Colour, Pattern & Texture, Inspiration & Design Development, Colour Psychology & Optical Illusions, Elements & Principles of Design, etc.

Work on your time management skills: As the GLS DAT entrance exam will be conducted both online and offline, candidates should manage their time according to their chosen mode. Candidates should have a proper strategy to attempt the GLS DAT 2023 question paper within the given time frame.

GLS DAT exam 2023 Round 2 was conducted on April 22 and 23, in both offline and online mode. Candidates are given two hours (120 minutes) to complete the DAT exam. GLS DAT 2023 Syllabus

The GLS DAT exam syllabus is not specified by the authority. However, some topics that interested people should consider studying are mentioned below:

GLS exam admit card has been issued through the candidate's registered mail id. Admit card is a mandatory document that the registered student must submit during the GLS DAT exam 2023.

GLS DAT 2023 admit card has been issued only to the candidates who have duly filled and submitted the application forms. Candidates are advised to affix a recent passport-size photograph on their admit card.

It is informed that only those who carry a valid GLS Institute of Design DAT admit card on the day of the examination will be allowed to enter the examination center for Design Entrance Examination.

GLS DAT 2023 results for round 2 will be declared in the month of May 2023. Candidates can check their GLS DAT exam results on the official website - glsid.org using their registered email address and date of birth.

The GLS DAT result will be available in the form of a scorecard containing the marks obtained in the examination. Shortlisted candidates for a personal interview will be notified only after the declaration of results.
