IIAD 2024: Indian Institute of Art and Design (IIAD) has released the IIAD 2024 application form. Interested candidates can fill the online application form of IIAD 2024 at iiad.edu.in. Moreover, the authorities have announced the IIAD 2024 exam date. The IIAD 2024 entrance exam will be conducted on December 16 and 17.  In order to complete the IIAD 2024 registration process, candidates have to pay an application fee of Rs 2,500/- in online mode. IIAD Entrance Exam 2024

The screening process at IIAD aims to test a candidate's eligibility based on their aptitude for design learning. The IIAD entrance exam has two components which vary based on the course you are applying for. Please refer to the table provided in this section to check your course requirements.

IIAD Undergraduate programme offers a total of 200 seats distributed across five courses. For Postgraduate Program, IIAD offers 20 seats.

Indian Institute of Art and Design has a limited number of seats for each programme. Applicants who apply early in the early admissions cycle and pass the entrance exam have a higher chance of being accepted into the program of their choice.

What is IIAD Entrance Exam 2024?

The IIAD exam is conducted by the Indian Institute of Art and Design in association with Kingston School of Art at Kingston University (KSAKU), London to provide admission to students in UG and PG design programmes offered by IIAD.

An IIAD 2024 entrance exam is conducted as a written test where students are evaluated on their drawing and observation skills, design skills, imaginative, and creative expression, as well as communication and visual strengths.

The admission process for the IIAD Entrance Examination, after appearing for the written test, should appear in the Studio Test (for UG applicants) or Personal Interview (for PG applicants) rounds. IIAD admissions are made based on the candidate's score on the IIAD entrance exam and their performance in the studio test/ personal interview rounds.

IIAD Undergraduate Design Programme

• Students with a 10+2 or equivalent in any stream (Commerce, Humanities/Arts, Science) with an aggregate of a minimum of 50% are eligible to apply for IIAD 2024.

• Candidates appearing for the Class 12 examination in the current academic year or awaiting results may also apply.

• Students are accepted from CBSE/ State/ ISC/ IB or any other equivalent Indian or International Higher Secondary Board.

IIAD Postgraduate Design Programme

• Candidates who have completed their Undergraduate exam (or equivalent) in any discipline from a recognized college/ university will be able to fill out the IIAD 2024 application form.

• Final-year graduate students or awaiting results may also apply.

The authority has commenced the registration process for IIAD 2024 entrance exam in online mode. Candidates can fill out the IIAD entrance exam application form at apply.iiad.edu.in. To fill out the application form for IIAD 2024, students are advised to follow the below instructions;

Steps to fill out the IIAD 2024 application form

• First, visit the official website of IIAD - iiad.edu.in.

• Next, find and click on the “Apply” link. 

• It will redirect you to another page. From there, choose the course for which you want to apply for.

• Then, click on the link called “Click here to Apply”.

• Fill out the IIAD 2024 registration form with valid details to generate the login credentials.

• Next, log in to the dashboard using the login credentials and fill out the IIAD entrance exam 2024 application form.

• Then, pay the application fee of Rs 2500 in online mode.

• Finally, submit the complete application form and take a printout of it for your future use.

Application Fees

The IIAD entrance exam consists of two sections with objective types - multiple choice questions, drawing and sketching, and descriptive answer questions.

• The maximum marks are 200 and the marks allotted for each correct answer vary according to the type of question.

• There is no negative marking scheme for IIAD Entrance Exam 2024.

• IIAD 2024 exam paper will be based on 2 Subjects. Each section has a separate number of questions.

• The duration of the IIAD entrance exam will be 2 hours (120 minutes).

IIAD Entrance Exam 2024 exam is designed to test a candidate's imagination, creativity, presentation skills, writing skills, logical decision-making skills, design, and drawing skills.

IIAD 2024 Syllabus

The syllabus for the two sections of the IIAD Entrance Exam 2024 exam papers is generally based on the syllabus of Class 10 and Class 12.

Indian Institute of Art and Design will send the IIAD 2024 admit card to the candidate's registered mail id. Students who are eligible to appear in the IIAD entrance exam will receive the IIAD 2024 entrance exam admit card by mail. The admit card will be issued two or three days before the entrance exam.

How to download IIAD 2024 admit card?

• Step 1: Log in to the registered mail id.

• Step 2: Visit the received link from the Indian Institute of Art and Design.

• Step 3: It will ask you to enter valid login credentials.

• Step 4: After entering the required credentials, click on the “Submit” button.

• Step 5: Finally, your appropriate IIAD 2024 hall ticket will be downloaded.

The authority will declare the IIAD 2024 result after the conclusion of the design entrance exam. The result will be announced in the form of a scorecard. Candidates will receive the IIAD exam result link through their registered email. 

How to check the IIAD 2024 results?

• Step 1: Log in to the registered mail id.

• Step 2: Click on the received result link from the Indian Institute of Art and Design.

• Step 3: It will ask you to enter valid login credentials.

• Step 4: After entering the required credentials, click on the “Submit” button.

• Step 5: Finally, your appropriate IIAD 2024 scorecard will be downloaded.

To get admission to the Indian Institute of Art and Design, students must fulfill the IIAD eligibility criteria and clear the iDAT (IIAD Design Aptitude Test). Also, candidates can go through the steps they need to follow as part of the IIAD selection process.

Step 1: Fill out the IIAD Entrance Exam 2024 Application Form

Step 3: Take the IIAD Entrance Exam 2024

Candidates must take the iDAT (IIAD Design Aptitude Test) for UG admission and iMAT (IIAD Management Aptitude Test) for PG Admission in various Design courses.

Step 4: Appear for Studio Test/ Personal Interview Round

After giving the IIAD written exam, students must appear for the Studio Test (for UG applicants) or personal interview (for PG applicants) rounds.

Step 5: Check the IIAD Entrance Exam Result

Candidates can get placement in design courses at the Indian Institute of Art and Design (IIAD) based on their score in the iDAT written exam and their performance in studio simulation and portfolio evaluation rounds.

IIAD 2024 Lateral Entry Admission

Indian Institute of Art and Design accepts applications for transfer to IIAD's design courses from students who have completed a minimum 1-year design degree/ diploma program from a nationally or internationally recognized design institute. 

This transfer is also referred to as lateral entry. The student will be assessed based on an interview and a portfolio of work at a previous design institute.
