Symbiosis Entrance Exam for Design (SEED) 2023 : Dates, Result (Out), Counselling , Selection Process

SEED 2023: Symbiosis Entrance Exam for Design (SEED) is a national-level design aptitude test conducted by Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID) to offer admissions to students in BDes programmes offered at its campuses. SEED 2023 examines; color, visual observations, geometry, creative thinking abilities, awareness of Indian culture, general design awareness, craft, traditions, etc.

The SEED Shortlist for PRPI has been announced on January 27, 2023. Shortlisted candidates must book their PRPI slots from January 27 to 31, 2023. The SEED 2023 entrance exam result for the B.Des has been declared on January 23, 2023. Candidates can download their SEED exam scorecard by entering their BDes ID and Password on the official website - sid.edu.in. 

The authority has issued the SEED 2023 admit card in online mode. Successfully registered students can download the SEED 2023 admit card from  January 7, 2023, to January 15, 2023. The SEED exam 2023 was held on January 15, 2023, in a Computer-based test. Before that, the authority conducted the online SEED 2023 mock test from January 12 to 13, 2023. As per the schedule, the SEED 2023 entrance exam for BDes started at 9.30 am and ended at 12 pm (2.5 hours). 

The registration process for SEED 2023 has begun on September 5, 2022. The last date to apply for SEED 2023 was closed on January 4, 2023. To complete the SEED 2023 registration, students paid an application fee of Rs. 2950 (Rs. 1950 for SEED & Rs. 1000 for SID) in online mode. Candidates must meet the stated SEED 2023 eligibility criteria to appear in the SEED entrance exam 2023.

The application form for SEED 2023 has been released in online mode on September 5, 2022. Candidates can fill out the SEED 2023 application form till January 4, 2023. While preparing for the SEED 2023 entrance exam, it is essential for students to have a plan in mind. Here are some tips for preparing for SEED 2023: 

• Have a proper SEED exam preparation strategy in place
• Go through the SEED 2023 exam pattern thoroughly along with the official syllabus.
• Choose the best Design Aptitude Test books to prepare.
• The aim should be to score well in SEED 2023
• Focus on your time management skills and improve your problem-solving skills, especially for the maths and science sections.
• Solve as many SEED mock tests, model papers, and previous year's question papers as possible to know your strong and weak areas for the SEED exam.

Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID) does not prescribe the SEED 2023 exam pattern. However, we are discussing here the detailed exam pattern of SEED 2023 as per the previous year's SEED exam pattern. SEED 2023 will be an online test of 2.5 hours (150 minutes) carrying around 150 multiple objectives-type questions divided into many sections.

The exam of SEED 2023 will be divided into many sections i.e., application of basic knowledge of science and mathematics, visualization, observational, and reasoning abilities, perceptual, creative, and problem-solving abilities, Art, craft, design, culture, and environment.

• 1 mark is awarded for every correct attempt
• No negative marking for the incorrect response

The Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID) conducted the SEED 2023 mock test on January 12 and 13, 2023. The mock tests will be conducted in online mode and can be taken by the students to prepare for the SEED entrance exam.

Mock tests are an important part of exam preparation as they help in improving time management skills and understanding the structure of the SEED question paper. Apart from that, practicing mock tests gives a real idea of the design entrance exam which helps to boost confidence.

• Step 6: Students have to download the SEED exam admit card and take a printout of the same.

Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID) declared the SEED 2023 result on January 23, 2023, in online mode. Candidates can able to check the SEED 2023 result at sid.edu.in by providing the BDes ID and password.
