School of Fashion Technology Common Entrance Test (SOFT CET)

SOFT CET 2024: MKSSS's School of Fashion Technology has announced the SOFT CET 2024 registration date. Candidates will be able to fill the SOFT CET application form 2024 from October 1. The last date to apply for SOFT CET 2024 is December 31, however, candidates will be allowed to register online with late fee till January 20. Moreover, the authorities have also announced the SOFT CET 2024 exam date. The SOFT CET exam 2024 for UG, PG, and Diploma will be held on January 30 and 31. 

Candidates who have passed Class 12th or have a minimum 2-year Diploma Degree with Class 10th are eligible to apply online. As per SOFT CET 2024 exam pattern, the entrance exam will consist of General Ability Test, Studio Test / Group Discussions  and Personal Interview. It is mandatory for all the candidates to take all three tests. 

The authorities will announce the result of SOFT CET 2024 in the form of a merit list.  SOFT CET 2024 merit list date is February 6.  Candidates who clear the SOFT CET entrance exam will confirm their admission by February 10. 

What is SOFT CET 2024?

SOFT CET 2024, also known as the School Of Fashion Technology Common Entrance Exam, will be held by MKSSS's School of Fashion Technology to provide admission to various Undergraduate and Postgraduate Diploma Design courses. The SOFT CET exam is given at the university level once a year. The exam is divided into three stages: online test, studio test/group discussions, and personal interviews.

The authorities prescribes certain conditions and requirements that every aspirant need to meet. To ensure their eligibility for the exam, candidates must be fully aware of the SOFT CET 2024 Eligibility Criteria. The following are the Eligibility Criteria details:

Candidates will be able to access the SOFT CET 2024 application form from October 1. SOFT Entrance Exam 2024 application form will be available on the official website till December 31. With a late fee, the application window will be open by January 20.  

Documents Required for SOFT CET 2024 Registration 

Every candidate who applies for SOFT CET 2024 should keep the following documents with their application:

• 10th-grade mark sheet (Mandatory for all Programmes)

• Address Verification (Mandatory for all Programmes)

• Candidates must submit a scanned copy of their Class 12th Result for the UG course and a copy of their 12th and Graduation mark sheet for the PG course.

Steps to fill SOFT CET application form 2024 

Applicants who wish to take the SOFT CET 2024 should complete the application form of SOFT CET 2024, which will be available on the official website.

• Go to the School of Fashion Technology (SOFT) website and click on the Registration Link.

• Candidates must register with a valid email address or mobile phone number and carefully fill out all the information requested on the application form.

• Upload all required information in JPEG format, and ensure the uploaded photograph is clear.

• Once the Application Form has been completed, click the "Submit" button.

• Keep a printout of the Application form for future reference.

Application Fees

• They must be familiar with the syllabus and attempt to solve all previous year's question papers or SOFT CET sample papers to understand the pattern of questions asked. The Question Papers can be found on SOFT's official website.

• Participants should be capable of using their time wisely so they do not become exhausted while studying. A proper schedule must be created and followed.

• It's vital that learners take enough breaks while studying to keep their minds calm and composed.

• Yoga can also be used to manage stress.

• Consume a well-balanced diet as well.

The authority releases the exam pattern of the SOFTCET 2024 exam. Applicants trying to prepare for the entrance exam should review the exam pattern in order to better strategize their preparation.

• Mode: The SOFT CET 2024 entrance exam will be held online as well as offline mode.

• Question Type: The Entrance Exam will include a General Ability Test, a Studio Test, Group Discussions, and a Personal Interview. All candidates are required to take all three tests.

• Number of Questions: Online Test - 60 Marks, Studio Test / Group Discussion 140 Marks, and Personal Interview  (Portfolio + Statement of Purpose)- 50 Marks from the syllabus covered in the qualifying exam.

• Marking Scheme: Candidates will receive one mark for each correct answer, with no negative marking for incorrect answers. As a result, candidates are advised to attempt all questions and not leave any unanswered.

• Medium: The language of the question paper of the SOFT CET 2024 entrance exam will be English.

Aspirants who will complete the registration process before the deadline will be issued hall tickets. On the day of the examination, candidates must bring your admit card, a passport-sized photo, and a valid ID. Steps to Download the SOFT CET 2024 Admit Card:

• Visit the official website at soft.ac.in.

• Click on the 'download admit card' button.

• Enter the correct Username, Password, and Security code, then click 'login'.

• On the screen, the admit card will be displayed. Save the soft copy and print a copy for future reference.

Candidates will be able to download the result of SOFT CET 2024 from the official website. The SOFT CET 2024 result will be displayed as a Scorecard. Applicants must log in using their registered email addresses or mobile phone numbers to access the results. Along with the SOFT CET result 2024, the authorities will also release the merit list. 

How to Check the SOFT CET 2024 Results? 

• Log in to the SOFT, Pune official website.

• Continue and look for the 'Result' Section.

• Enter Login details like email id and phone number and click the Submit button.

• The results of the common entrance examination will be available online. Make a copy for yourself as a backup.

SOFT, Pune will publish the Merit List of candidates who qualified for the exam on February 6. Candidates must submit a scanned copy of their Class 12th Result for the UG course and a copy of their 12th and Graduation mark sheet for the PG course.

Mode of Counselling: Online, Offline

Counselling will begin immediately after the results are announced. Candidates who pass the Common Entrance Examination will be eligible to take the SOFT CET 2024 Counselling.

• Following the announcement of the results, the SOFT CET authority will publish a list of Merit Rank Holders who must report to the institute on a specific date with the required documents.

• The authority will begin providing counselling tentatively in the last week of June 2024.

• All candidates who wish to be admitted to the institute must send a confirmation email to admission@soft.ac.in with a CC to admin@soft.ac.in, failing which the seat will be automatically given to the waitlisted candidate.

• Following receipt of the confirmation email, applicants will be called in to complete the admission procedure in accordance with the academic calendar posted on the official website.

• Candidates must report to the institute with all required documents and certificates. The organizing body will verify these documents and certificates.

• They must then pay the tuition fees associated with their courses.
