National Institute of Design (NID) has released official notification for Design Aptitude Test (DAT) 2018 on September 25, 2017. NID DAT 2018 application form is now available, and interested students can submit the online application till October 31 without late fees. The entrance exam will be conducted in two steps for allotment of 100 B.Design seats at the institute’s Ahmedabad campus. The first stage, Prelims, is scheduled to be held on January 7 across 23 cities. Shortlisted candidates will be eligible to appear for the second stage, Mains, which will be conducted from May 15 to 22 at NID Ahmedabad campus.
Before filling NID DAT 2018 application form, aspirants must check the eligibility criteria and ensure that they fulfill all the specified requirements. Aspirants up to 20 years of age on or before June 30, 2018, are eligible to apply (relaxation of three years for those belonging to reserved category).

NID Design Aptitude Test is an exam through which aspirants are shortlisted for admission in UG and PG design courses offered at the prestigious NID campuses. Candidates need to clear two NID admission tests in order to be eligible for admission in Bachelor’s Graduate and Diploma Programme in Design (GDPD) and other courses offered at its campuses . Earlier, NID offered admission in its five campuses through NID entrance exam. However, from 2019 onwards two more NID campuses, that is, NID Bhopal and NID Jorhat also started offering admission in GDPD course on the basis of NID admission test.
