can someone apply for NIFT without appearing CAT and GAT?

Sonali Sahu Student Expert 13th Oct, 2019

hello,

NIFT has nothing to do with CAT or GAT. Those are the exams for MBA. NIFT is for admission in fashion courses.

The eligibilitiy is just marks of your 10th and intermediate. The main point is the candidate must have qualified both from a recognised board and must be having PCM as the compulsory subject.

The exam has an age limit to be 23 and there is 5 years relaxation for category reserved candidates.

Hope it helps!

Abhishek singh Student Expert 3rd Oct, 2019
Hello,
You have not specified the exam for which you are seeking information.
But still i would like to bring this to your notice that different exams/institutes require caste certificates in different formats. You can easily fetch the format by visiting the official website of that specific institute.
If you are seeking information about nift, then yes nift does specify the required format for the caste certificate. You can fetch detailed information about the format by browsing through the official website.
Good luck

Can we still get going into Mumbai Nift when we did our entrance exam in different centre?

Hello
Isaac Lalramnghaka

Yes, you can get NIFT, Mumbai even if you gave your Entrance Exam in different centre. The centre of your entrance exam is no mode for the college you are given admission in. So don't worry. You will be getting the college according to your marks and rank.

Hope it helps you.
