National Institute of Fashion Technology has commenced counselling procedure for filling 2010 B.Design seats and 360 B.F.Tech seats from June 8 onwards. Counselling for Person With Disability (PWD) candidates (all categories & programmes) will be conducted on merit basis first. There will be multiple rounds of NIFT Counselling 2017 across 16 campuses. The NIFT head office will coordinate with all campuses, and the admission process will take place simultaneously.
For the first round of NIFT 2017 Counselling, there is no registration fee. However, for subsequent rounds, the candidate will have to pay online Rs.5000 as registration fee for participation. Those, who are not interested in changing campus/course allotted to them in the first round, may not participate in the subsequent rounds.
On the counselling day, the candidate is required to report at the chosen NIFT campus at 9.30 a.m. for verification of documents and allotment of seats. The original documents will be returned after due verification. At the time of counselling, the campus/course/category-wise seat availability chart will be displayed at all NIFT campuses. Candidates will be called in order of the merit rank and offered the seat available at that point of time.
A candidate, who is allotted a seat, will be required to pay the notified fee immediately at the campus. If he/she fails to pay the fee after the seat has been offered, the offer will be withdrawn and the seat will be allotted to the next candidate on the merit list.
NIFT Counselling 2017 of all category candidates including General, SC, ST, OBC (Non-Creamy), NRI and State Domicile for admissions to Bachelor of Fashion Technology will be held from June 12 to 18. Counselling procedure for admissions to Bachelor of Design is scheduled from June 19 to July 19.
