Any amount of preparation time is insignificant if at the end of the preparation period, you don't feel conufentc about yourself. So I suggest that you forget about the time and start preparing asap. It will depend on your concepts and previous knowledge.

NID DAT is conducted by National Institute of Dsign to provide admission to various undergraduate designing courses.
Approximately around 20,000 students apply for NID DAT every year and only 100 undergraduate seats are available. So only 100 aspirant are selected every year.

Yes, you are allowed to apply to a maximum of two disciplines for NID DAT. In your case since you wish to apply for both Information Design and Interaction Design, you can fill those. Since, both the disciplines fall under one faculty, you will be required to appear for one domain specific test only. The prospects say: 

For those applying for two disciplines of M.Des., they will be required to appear for: "The CDAT [Common Design Aptitude Test] and ONE domain-specific test if the two disciplines selected falls under same Faculty Stream. The total duration of DAT Prelim will be 2.5 hrs."

Coming to whether you can edit your choices, you may or may not be able to add more choices when the opportunity to edit the application form arise, since certain fields cannot be edited such as DOB, email ID, Category and citizenship cannot be edited. You can try your luck during this editing window. The window to edit the application forms will start from 12 noon on Saturday, 1 December 2018, and will remain open until 12 noon on Tuesday, 4 December 2018. 

With respect to disciplines, the brochure says, "the discipline applied for CANNOT be modified." While you will not be able to modify it might be possible for you to ADD another discipline.

The elgibilty required to write NID aptitude test is,

Candidates seeking admissions to the National Institute of Design must fulfill the eligibility criteria of NID DAT 2019 before applying. The requirements can be checked below: Aspirants up to 20 years of age on or before June 30, 2019, are eligible to apply. However, there is a relaxation of three years for those belonging to the reserved categories.Students, who have passed or will appear for class 12 examination in any stream in the academic year 2018–19 from any recognized board of education such as CBSE, IB, ICSE or their equivalent, can apply to appear for NID DAT 2019.

NID Aptitude test does not require learned answers it require out-of-the box answers. Make sure that you are regular in newspaper reading, you know the culture, dance forms, artists and different styles of paintings and which era they belong to. All this will be of great help in solving the paper.

You cannot change your email ID. Window to edit the NID DAT application form will be available but certain fields cannot be edited such as DOB, email ID, Category and citizenship.

Also, it was essential to provide the valid email address as it is only used for further communications. Also, candidates can log in into their accounts using the email ID and DOB that was provided during registration.

The academic requirements for applying is as follows:

Candidates, who have passed or will be appearing for higher secondary (10+2) (any stream) qualifying examination in the academic year 2018-19 from a recognized board of education (CBSE, IB, ICSE, or their equivalent) can fill the online application form of NID DAT 2019.

So yes you can apply.

Now about the exam -

 It will comprise two parts:

Part 1: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) marked out of 70 points

Part 2: Subjective questions marked out of 30 points.
