Common Entrance Exam for Design (CEED) 2019 was successfully conducted by Indian Institute of Bombay on January 19 for admissions to the masters in Design programmes offered at IIT Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kanpur, and IISc Bangalore as well as IIITDM Jabalpur. In addition CEED scores are accepted by Anant National University, Lovely Professional University (LPU), Srishti Institute of Art, Design and Technology, University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES), Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) University and World University of Design (WUD). The authorities released the result of CEED on March 4, 2019. CEED 2019 consists of two papers with Part A of the exam consisting of Aptitude and Maths being a computer-based test while Part B consisting of drawing being a pen and paper based one. CEED 2019 was held in 24 cities.
In 2018, CEED was conducted in 21 cities across the country and a total of 6,423 candidates registered while 5,507 candidates actually appeared for the exam. Of these, 1,003 candidates qualified in the exam.
CEED eligibility criteria consists of parameters like age, nationality, academic qualifications etc. that are used to check if a candidate is suitable to pursue the programmes offered by the participating institutes. It may be noted that CEED 2019 eligibility criteria are only applicable for the entrance test. Admission criteria may slightly vary from institute to institute, hence, candidates are advised to check the same before applying to their respective institutes.

Candidates who have passed the programme by July 2018 are also eligible

CEED 2019 application form was available from October 9 to November 14, 2018. The application procedure was online where candidates had to register first, followed by entering of personal and academic details, uploading of documents and finally made the payment. Candidates, who meet the specified eligibility were appeared for the entrance test. A total of three exam centres in the order of the candidate's preference was entered during registration. Candidates who were not able to fill the CEED application for some reason or the other, they could do so till 16, 2018 on payment of a late fee of Rs 500.
CEED 2019 exam pattern allows all aspirants to get a fair idea of the type of questions that may feature in the exam, marking scheme, language of the exam, mode and so on. It is pretty useful for candidates to have an understanding of the CEED exam pattern during preparation.

CEED 2019 consists of two parts where part A is a computer based test used to evaluate candidates in visualisation and spatial ability, environmental and social awareness, analytical and logical reasoning, language and creativity, observation and design sensitivity. Candidates who qualifies in part A are eligible to move further to appear for part B which is a drawing test evaluating candidates on drawing, creativity, communication skills and analytical and problem solving skills
CEED admit card 2019 was available for download from January 1 onwards. Candidates had to login to download the same. They must check the details for accuracy after downloading and carry a colour printout of the same to the exam hall along with specified valid Photo ID.

CEED draft answer key 2019 was announced on January 25. This draft answer key was open to students to challenge till January 31, 2019. The answer key has the correct answers to the questions asked in the exam. It is to be noted that the CEED 2019 answer key is only for Part A of the exam for Aptitude and Mathematics while no answer key is published for the drawing test. The final answer key for CEED 2019 was released on February 4 after considering all challenges.
How to check CEED Answer Key?
All candidates who appeared for the entrance test were able to check their CEED 2019 result on March 4, which was announced online by IIT Bombay. Only qualified candidates were able to download their score cards which was announced along with the CEED result. The CEED score card is valid only for a period of one year from the date of declaration of the result.

CEED 2019 cutoff is usually specified for part A of the exam which is used to shortlist candidates for part B of the exam.
