About CEED Exam

The Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED) is a national-level examination conducted by IIT Bombay and is designed to assess the skills and knowledge of the students aspiring to pursue postgraduate studies in design at premier institutes in India.

CEED Exam Date 2026

The CEED 2026 dates will be announced by the authorities on its official website- ceed.iitb.ac.in. As per the previous year IIT Bombay is expected to release the CEED 2026 registration form in October 2025. Also, CEED 2026 exam is expected to be conducted in January 2026. CEED Eligibility Criteria 2026

The authorities will release the CEED eligibility criteria 2026 at ceed.iitb.ac.in. The CEED 2026 eligibility criteria will verify the candidates academic background and skills to appear for the entrance exam. The eligibility criteria for CEED 2026 is mentioned below:

  • Candidates must have completed a graduate degree/diploma/postgraduate degree program of a minimum of three years (after 10+2 level)

  • (or) must be appearing for the final examination of such a program by July 2026,

  • (or) must have passed the GD Arts diploma program (10+5 level) by July 2026.

  • There is no age limit to appear for CEED

  • Candidates can appear for CEED any number of times

IIT Bombay will release the CEED 2026 application form on its official website- ceed.iitb.ac.in. It is important for the candidates to check the CEED 2026 eligibility criteria before filling out the application form so as not to face any disqualification. Mdes is an excellent degree for creative people, and your job and compensation will improve as a result. You can, in fact, apply for MDES.

You must succeed in the CEED, an annual design entry test. The majority of Indian schools, including NITs and IITs, accept CEED scores as proof of eligibility for MDes.

A select few universities, like IIT Kanpur and IISC Bangalore , also accept GATE scores. Engineering students have a second opportunity to apply for MDes without having to submit a CEED score.

BE, BTech, BDes, or BArch with a minimum cumulative GPA of 50 percent (pass grades for SC/ST) are required.

GATE / CEED score (70 percent weighting) with an online design aptitude test and an interview make up the IISc Bangalore selection process (30 percent weightage).
