UCEED Exam Date : 18 Jan' 2026 - 18 Jan' 2026
Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay will issue the UCEED 2026 notification on October 1, 2025. The notification will contain the complete UCEED 2026 schedule. IIT Bombay will conduct the UCEED 2026 entrance exam on January 18, 2026 in online mode from 9 am to 12 noon. The medium of the UCEED exam is English language. The UCEED entrance exam 2026 will be conducted in two parts. The UCEED 2026 syllabus includes topics such as Visualisation and Spatial Reasoning, Practical and Scientific Knowledge and Observation and Design Sensitivity will be asked in the UCEED question paper. About UCEED Entrance Exam
Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) is a national level exam conducted by Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay once in a year for the undergraduate students. IIT Bombay will release the UCEED important dates 2026 at its official website- uceed.iitb.ac.in. UCEED Eligibility Criteria 2026
It is important for the candidates to check the UCEED 2026 eligibility criteria before applying for the entrance exam. A candidate, including a foreign national, must simultaneously fulfil every one of the following three UCEED exam eligibility criteria.
Criterion 1- Age limit:
Candidates belonging to the OPEN/EWS/OBC-NCL category should have been born on or after October 1, 2001, candidates belonging to the SC, ST or PwD category. Should have been born on or after October 1, 1996.
Criterion 2- Number of attempts:
A candidate can attempt UCEED a maximum of two times, and that too in consecutive years.
Note that the UCEED score is valid for one year and only for admissions in the same corresponding academic year.
Criterion 3- Qualifying examination:
A candidate should have appeared for the Class 12 or equivalent examination for the first time in either 2025 OR 2026 to be eligible for attempting UCEED 2026.
Students from any stream (Science, Commerce, and Arts & Humanities) are eligible.
Those who appeared for the first time in their qualifying examination Class 12 in 2025 or earlier will not be eligible to appear in UCEED 2026.

IIT Bombay will release the UCEED 2026 registration form on its official website- uceed.iitb.ac.in. Before filling out the application form candidates should check the UCEED 2026 eligibility criteria so as not to face any disqualification. UCEED is a competitive exam for design aspirants, testing design aptitude, logical thinking, creativity, and visualisation skills. To improve your score out of 300, start by understanding the exam pattern—Part A (objective) and Part B (subjective). For Part A, practice reasoning, numerical aptitude, and environmental & social awareness questions. For Part B, focus on drawing, sketching, and presenting your ideas clearly. Solve past year UCEED papers and join online mock test series. Spend at least 2–3 hours daily practising creative problem-solving and sketching. Also, work on time management because the exam requires quick thinking.

For NID DAT 2026, your eligibility is established based on your born date as you are born on or after July 1st 2005. For UCEED 2026, your eligibility is dependent on your born date by category. You are eligible if you are OPEN/EWS/OBC-NCL category and born on or after October 1, 2001. If you are SC/ST/PwD category you must be born on or after October 1, 1996 in order to be eligible. Based on your born date of December 20th, 2006 for both NID DAT 2026 and UCEED 2026; you will be eligible.

Currently, NSUT does not offer a B.Des. program. However, other institutes like IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, and IIITDM Jabalpur offer B.Des. through UCEED.
