UCEED Eligibility Criteria 2026

It is important for the candidates to check the UCEED 2026 eligibility criteria before applying for the entrance exam. A candidate, including a foreign national, must simultaneously fulfil every one of the following three UCEED exam eligibility criteria.

• Criterion 1- Age limit:

  • Candidates belonging to the OPEN/EWS/OBC-NCL category should have been born on or after October 1, 2001, candidates belonging to the SC, ST or PwD category. Should have been born on or after October 1, 1996.

• Criterion 2- Number of attempts:

  • A candidate can attempt UCEED a maximum of two times, and that too in consecutive years.

  • Note that the UCEED score is valid for one year and only for admissions in the same corresponding academic year.

• Criterion 3- Qualifying examination:

  • A candidate should have appeared for the Class 12 or equivalent examination for the first time in either 2025 OR 2026 to be eligible for attempting UCEED 2026.

  • Students from any stream (Science, Commerce, and Arts & Humanities) are eligible.

  • Those who appeared for the first time in their qualifying examination Class 12 in 2025 or earlier will not be eligible to appear in UCEED 2026.

The IIT Bombay UCEED 2026 registration form with a late fee closed on November 10, 2025. Candidates were allowed to submit the form on the official website- uceed.iitb.ac.in. UCEED 2026 Admit card

IIT Bombay issued the UCEED admit card 2026 online on January 2, 2026. Candidates need to login using their allotted login credentials to download the UCEED 2026 admit card. The deadline to correct any discrpancies in the UCEED 2026 admit card was January 8, 2026, by 5 pm. The UCEED admit card 2026 consists of details such as the candidate's name, exam date and time, exam venue, and instructions to the candidates. The students have to download the UCEED 2026 admit card online and take a print of the same. The students must carry it to the examination hall on the day of UCEED exam.

UCEED Answer Key 2026

The IIT Bombay released the UCEED 2026 draft answer key online on January 20, 2026. The UCEED answer key 2026 helps the candidates calculate their scores. Candidates were allowed to raise objections if any against the UCEED 2026 answer key till January 22, 2026.
