The National Testing Agency (NTA) will declare the NIFT entrance exam result 2026 tentatively in April 2026. After declaring the NIFT 2026 result, shortlisted candidates will be called for the NIFT situation test, which is the second stage of NIFT 2026 for UG programmes. In case of NIFT PG 2026, candidates will be called to attend an interview. After the NIFT final result is declared, candidates will be shortlisted for the NIFT counselling process based on scores in the NIFT entrance exam and the situation test/interview. The NIFT 2026 entrance exam result will be declared tentatively in April 2026. Candidates can check the result through their login. Soon after the NIFT exam result is declared, the authorities will notify the NIFT 2026 situation test/ interview dates. Only a set of certain materials are provided to the candidates. There is no additional material to be issued.
The candidate has to explain the model creation in writing with clear explanations within the specified time.

After the entrance exam, the situation test, and personal interview rounds are done, the authorities will declare the final result of NIFT 2026. After the results of the NIFT 2026 selection rounds, candidates have to attend the NIFT counselling process to obtain seat allotment.
As part of the NIFT 2026 counselling process, candidates will be required to complete counselling registration and provide their NIFT campus preferences. The NIFT Seat allotment will be published based on the candidate's rank and the preferences submitted by them. There will be multiple rounds of seat allotment as decided by the authorities.
