Indian Institute of Crafts and Design (IICD) does not define any specified syllabus of IICD. However, after analyzing the questions of the previous year, Careers360 brings here the IICD entrance exam syllabus. Candidates will have to face a personal interview apart from the IICD written exam. Candidates will be scrutinized in the personal interview based on the parameters listed below:
Communication skills
Aptitude to crafts
General awareness about crafts and design
Intelligence quotient (IQ)
Personal achievements in academics and extracurricular activities
The exam pattern of IICD specifies the type of questions, exam duration, marking scheme, and the total number of questions that are asked. Admission will be offered to the candidates based on their performance in the IICD entrance exam. The exam will be conducted online.

The institute does not offer scholarships to the students. However, there is some financial aid available to a limited number of students sponsored by Ambuja Educational Institute’s policy norms. The financial aid is based on Merit cum Means.
IICD entrance test will be conducted in two parts: Part A - General Awareness, Creativity & Perception Test and Part B - Material, Colour and Conceptual Test, Personal Interview. Both parts are compulsory and will be conducted on the same day. The mode of Part A is pen and paper based and the mode of Part B is practical based. The entrance test will be conducted online.
The type of questions asked in the IICD entrance test are as follows:
Part A: General Awareness, Creativity & Perception Test
This part consists of multiple choice questions (MCQs) and creative writing questions. The MCQs will test the candidates’ general knowledge, current affairs, creativity, and visual perception skills. The creative writing questions will assess the candidates’ ability to express their thoughts and ideas in a clear and coherent manner.
Part B: Material, Colour and Conceptual Test, Personal Interview
This part consists of a practical test and a personal interview. The practical test will evaluate the candidates’ ability to work with different materials, colours, and concepts. The personal interview will judge the candidates’ personality, communication skills, and aptitude for design.
