NIFT Admit Card 2020 - National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) has released NIFT 2020 admit card in online mode on January 10 at 2:00 p.m. at No hard copy of the admit card was sent to candidates by post. They had to download NIFT admit card by entering any two of the following credentials - application number, registered email ID and date of birth. The admit card consists of exam details, such as reporting time, and address of the test centre. Candidates should not forget to carry the hard copy of the admit card along with a valid ID proof to the exam centre. No candidates were allowed to enter the examination hall without the aforementioned documents. Candidates who submitted the application form before the deadline, only they were able to download the admit card. NIFT entrance exam entrance exam was conducted on January 19, 2020. Candidates could see the following details on NIFT admit card 2020:

What to Carry along with NIFT Admit Card 2020?

Candidates has to carry any one of the following original ID proofs, along with NIFT 2020 admit card:

  • Voter ID card

  • Pan card

  • Passport

  • Aadhar card

  • Driving license

  • Student ID issued by current school/college

Note: Candidates should know that photocopy or digital copy of the ID proof is not accepted at the NIFT exam centre.

What not to carry to the NIFT Exam Centre 2020?

Test takers were not allowed to carry the following inside the examination hall

  • Water bottle

  • Papers

  • Notes

  • Books

  • Calculator

  • Electronic gadgets

  • Mobile phone

  • Bag

  • Handbag

  • Correction marker/white fluid

Note: There would be no arrangement made for keeping the above-mentioned items safely at the test centre. In case there was any lost item, the test centre would not be accountable for the same. Candidates, therefore, has to make their own arrangement for keeping such items safely.

NIFT Entrance Exam Important Guidelines 2020

  • Candidates should carry the admit card to their examination centre, otherwise, they were not allowed to enter the exam centre.

  • Candidates should bear in mind that the gate closes 30 minutes prior to the commencement of exam. After the deadline, no candidate were allowed to enter the examination hall.

  • Candidates could carry blue or black ballpoint pen, HB pencils, eraser, sharpener and dry colours for Creative Ability Test (CAT)

  • Candidates found using any forbidden material or involved in unfair means will be disqualified from the exam

  • Taking the question booklets and answer sheets out of the exam centre were considered as a punishable offence and could lead to cancellation of candidate's candidature

  • Candidates were not allowed to leave the centre before completion of the exam

  • The admission offered to them after the test would be provisional subject to meeting the eligibility criteria. On verification before or after the entrance test, if it is discovered that a candidate does not fulfil the eligibility criteria, their candidature should stand cancelled without any intimation.

Hello student you can check the merit rank of nift entrance examination on your results declared by NIFT on 13th March 2020.

In case if you've applied for course then you need to appear for situation test if you've clear the entrance examination. And after calculating both the results of Gat and MAT your rank will be declared.

My common merit rank is 351 in nift entrance exam and category rank is 60 in OBC ncl. What are the chances of getting admission in the NIFT campuses in metropolitan cities?

You haven't mentioned the particular course that you are willing to take admission in. There are plenty of courses available in NIFT and the cutoffs differ for all of them in all cities.

Further, you can check previous year's cutoff to get an exact idea about your choice of course and the course rank required for admission in all the metropolitan and other cities too.

Is there Negative marking in NIFT entrance exam for B.Des in GAT paper or only for B.FTech ?

There is negative marking in all NIFT Examination papers including B.Des. In GAT Exams, aspirants are awarded one mark for every correct answer and 0.25 marks are deducted for every wrong answer, selected by the candidate.
