FDDI AIST Counselling 2020 - The Footwear Design and Development Institute will conduct FDDI AIST 2020 counselling in offline mode. FDDI AIST Counselling 2020 includes programme and campus allotment to qualified candidates based on their rank and merit in the entrance exam. FDDI AIST entrance exam will allot 1980 seats to students in B.Des programmes in its 12 institutes throughout India. Those who will be allotted seats, they will have to pay Rs. 25, 000 subsequent to FDDI AIST counselling to reserve the seats. The breakup of the above-mentioned amount is Rs. 20,000 as an advance fee which will be adjusted against the balance fee and Rs. 5000 as counselling charges. Candidates will be given seven working days to deposit the balance fee post seat allotment. They must note that the counselling charges are non-refundable. What are the steps to be followed for registering in FDDI AIST 2020 Counselling?
Candidates will have to go through the following steps to participate in FDDI AIST counselling and seat allotment.
Step 1 - Online Registration
Students have to register in online mode to participate in FDDI AIST counselling and seat allotment.
Step 2 - Online Choice Filling
In this part, students have to fill their choice regarding the programmes and campus. They will be called for counselling based on their rank and preference for their campus and programme.
Step 3 - Seat Allotment
Students will be allotted seats depending on the availability of seats, merit and preference mentioned by them at the time of registration. The FDDI AIST counselling will continue until the last seat is filled. FDDI AIST counselling probably will be held in two rounds.
Step 4 - Payment and Acceptance of Fee
Students who will be allotted seats will have to pay Rs. 25000 immediately after the counselling of FDDI AIST to reserve the seats. The counselling fee which is Rs. 5000 will not be refunded in case any students wish to withdraw from admission.
Step 5 - Verification of Documents
Candidates need to show the following documents for the verification purpose. Candidate have to visit the nearest FDDI campus with all originals and one set of self-attested documents.
Class 10 certificate & mark sheet attested by gazetted officer
Class 12 certificate & mark sheet attested by gazetted officer
Medical fitness certificate certified by registered MBBS doctor
Demand draft of Rs. 25,000/- in favor of “FDDI” payable at New Delhi from any bank
Character certificate from the principal of last attended school/college or any gazetted officer
Two recent passport size colored photographs
Caste certificate/disability certificate (if applicable)
Candidates who fall under SC/ST/OBC quota (non creamy layer) have to produce a caste certificate issued not earlier than September 1, 2018 from the competent authority of the respective states/union territories. Those who won’t be able to produce appropriate certificate will not deemed eligible for admission
Step - 6 Final Reporting at the Allotted Campus
Post verification, candidates will have to report to the allotted institute and pay the balance fees to confirm the admission.
FDDI AIST Counselling 2020 Important Details
Students must know that number of candidates invited for counselling will be more than number of seats offered. Given the fact, chances are high that seats may get filled before the counselling.
FDDI has the right to change the campus or programme if there are less than 10 students for that particular programme at the campus. Students, therefore, will have to pay the fee and other charges depending on the allotted programme and campus.
Differently abled candidates are required to produce the original certificate of disability issued by medical authorities.
The disabled person has to attend FDDI AIST counselling in person
As the courses need specific and psychological skills, it will be allotted to differently abled candidates only after their assessment, which is done to evaluate their capabilities. Such students should come prepared for the evaluation at the time of counselling.
Note - Institute will not be accountable for any inconvenience caused to parents or students owing to the ending of the counselling before their turn.

The written exam for FDDI is designed to test your knowledge, skill and aptitude. The entrance exam has 4 sections:
Quantitative Aptitude: 25 marks
English Comprehension and Analytical Ability: 50 marks
General Knowledge and Current Affairs: 50 marks
Managament Aptitude Test. : 50 marks

FDDI entrance test is of Two and half hours duration. There is a total of 150 objective type questions. Examination would comprise of the following sections:
