    Footwear Design and Development Institute (FDDI) will notify the FDDI 2026 counselling schedule online. Candidates will be able to check the FDDI counselling schedule 2026 at the official website - fddiindia.com. Candidates who are shorlisted in the FDDI result 2026 are called for the FDDI counselling process. The FDDI counselling 2026 begins with registration, followed by choice filling, seat allotment, and payment of seat acceptance fees.     The FDDI 2026 seat allotment will be done based on scores in FDDI AIST 2026 and the campus preferences given by them at the time of counselling registration.     The authority will announce the FDDI AIST 2026 counselling dates on its official website, fddiindia.com. The counselling for FDDI AIST is held to provide seats to students pursuing an undergraduate course in the design field across its 12 institutes in India. To reserve the FDDI seat allocation, candidates who will be allocated seats should pay an expected fee of Rs. 25,000 subsequent to FDDI AIST counselling.     Steps for Register for FDDI AIST 2026 Counselling

    The steps to register for the counselling of FDDI AIST are mentioned below.

    Step 1 - Registration

    Candidates must register online to participate in FFDI AIST counselling 2026 and seat allotment. Candidates with valid FDDI ranks must log in to counselling.fddiindia.com using their email ID and password. The institute will generate a random password and send it to the candidate’s registered email ID.

    Step 2 - Verification of personal details

    After logging in with the random password, candidates must change their password for future log-ins on the FDDI counselling portal. Once logged in successfully, candidates must verify their personal details, update their address or contact details if necessary, and upload their latest passport-size photographs and relevant documents related to reservations.

    Step 3 - Online Choice Filling

    In this step, students must fill out their preferred programmes and campuses. Seats will be allotted to candidates based on their rank and preferences for campus and programme. Candidates can enter their choices of courses and campuses in decreasing order of preference. Candidates applying for BDes admission must fill in at least 10 choices.

    Step 4 - Counselling fee submission

    To confirm their participation in the online FDDI counselling 2026, candidates must submit certain amount as fee, which is expected to be Rs 25,000. This fee is composed of a non-refundable registration fee of Rs 10,000 and an advance fee of Rs 15,000. If a candidate is not allotted a seat of their choice, the advance fee will be refunded to their source of payment.

    Step 5 - Allotment of courses and campus

    The seat allotment result will be displayed on the FDDI counselling portal. Candidates will be allotted seats based on their ranks and preferences, subject to availability. Candidates can either accept the allotted seat or surrender it to participate in the next round of seat allotment. Candidates who are allotted seats according to their first preference cannot surrender or change to any seat lower in their preference order.

    Step 6 - Choice of re-allotment

    Candidates must choose one of the following options:

    • Whether they wish to be re-allotted a seat higher in their preference order if available (not applicable for candidates already allotted their first choice).
    • Whether they are satisfied with the allotted seat and do not want another allotment.

    For subsequent rounds of seat allotment, candidates are not required to register again or submit new choice preferences. Choices submitted before the first round of allotment will be considered in further rounds. However, candidates can edit their choices as per schedule based on seat availability.

    Who is eligible for a subsequent Round of allotment?

    The following candidates are eligible for seat allotment in the subsequent round:

    • Registered candidates who did not allow any seat allotment or surrendered their seat in the 1st round.
    • Registered candidates, whose 1st round of allotted seats were cancelled due to missing documents or fee, who have secured a seat under reserved quota, due to a change of Category from reserved to Unreserved or PH status, but are still eligible in the next round of seat allotment, with changed Category, subject to fulfillment of eligibility conditions.
    • Candidates who have submitted willingness for second round up-gradation as Yes.

    Who is not eligible for the 2nd Round of allotment?

    • Candidates who are allotted seats as per their first choice in FDDI counselling and round-1 seat allotment
    • Candidates who reported, but have withdrawn from counselling.
    • Candidates who fixed their choice and marked satisfied with the seat allotted in the 1st round declined for upgradation.

    FDDI AIST Counselling 2026 Important Details

    It is important for students to note that the number of candidates invited to participate in the FDDI AIST 2026 counselling process may exceed the number of available seats. As a result, there is a possibility that all seats will be filled before the counselling process is completed. If there are fewer than 10 students enrolled in a specific program at a particular campus, FDDI reserves the right to change the campus or program.

    Students must pay the required fees and other charges based on their assigned program and campus. Candidates with disabilities are required to present their original disability certificate issued by medical authorities.
