NID DAT Cutoff 2020 - National Institute of Design announced NID DAT 2020 cutoff of B.Des. The qualifying cut off percentile score of NID DAT 2020 will also be announced by National Institute of Design for B.Des. admissions. To get admission in NID DAT B.Des programme, candidates have to secure the prescribed minimum cut off i.e. score out of 100. The authorities will also declare NID DAT 2020 cut off in form of score obtained by the last candidate admitted. To be precise, it is the score of the last candidate, who will be offered admission to the Institute, in order of merit. Around 5,000 aspirants appear for NID DAT, which offers admissions to a total of 100 undergraduate design seats. The national-level design entrance exam is held in two stages- prelims and mains. Candidates who will qualify the first stage to be eligible for the second phase, they can check the category-wise NID DAT cutoff 2020 in this article.

Relaxation in NID DAT cut off 2020 scores for candidates belonging to reserved categories

Candidates belonging to the reserved categories, such as ST, SC, OBC-NCL, and PwD categories will be declared as qualified based on the relaxed criterion given below:

National Institute of Design conducted NID DAT 2020 (Prelims) on December 29 in offline mode. The test was held across various cities including Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Chandigarh, Bhopal, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kolkata, Kurukshetra, Chennai, Raipur, Ranchi, Nagpur, New Delhi, Patna, Dehradun, Guwahati, Bhubaneshwar, Mumbai, Panjim, Thiruvananthapuram and Vijayawada. The second and final stage, which is Mains will be held from April 29 to May 3. The qualified candidates will be offered admission in Bachelor of Design programmes at NID Ahmedabad.

NID DAT 2020 Result

National Institute of Design notified that the examination cell will announce the result of NID DAT 2020 once normalcy return. Candidates can check the result by entering the require credentials in online mode. The result will mention candidate’s roll number, score and rank. The authorities will prepare a merit list based on which test-takers will be shortlisted for the second stage- mains. Post mains exam, a final merit list will be released on May 28.

how much do I have to score in Marks, to clear the NID DAT tests? I am in the SC category.

Hello Jeet,

The percentile score required to qualify NID DAT 2020 is 45 for SC category. According   to last year qualifying cut off the percentile required for clearing the test was 40 for SC students.

Percentile is calculated as follows :

Let your rank be 60 and the total number of candidates were 2000 then your percentile will be,

(2000- 60)/2000 *100  = 97

The cut off marks will depend on the number of candidates appearing for the exam.

Dear candidate,

NID DAT MAINS will include drawing as well as sculpture or model making. It will be a three hour paper and the maximum marks that cam be obtained is 100. Unlike the prelims, it will not be in different parts of contain any objective type of aptitude based questions. It will purely be skill based. Hope that answers your query.
