The National Institute of Design will have the NID Prelims results for B.Des and M.Des announced on the official website - admission.nid.edu. Candidates can access the result on the official website through the admission portal. Currently, candidates can look forward to the NID DAT Entrance exam which will be conducted on December 21, 2025. To check the results for the Prelims rounds, candidates need to use their registered credentials, registered email ID, and date of birth.

The NID DAT Prelims Result 2026 will be released on the official NID admissions portal. Candidates will be able to view their results by logging in with their registered email ID and password once the results are announced. Follow the steps below to check the result:
Go to the official NID admissions website at admissions.nid.edu.
Locate and click on the link titled “NID DAT Prelims Result 2026.”
You will be redirected to the login page where you must enter your registered email ID and password.
After submitting the login details, your NID DAT Prelims 2026 result will appear on the screen.
Download the result and take a printout for future use and reference.

Check the official NID website to confirm if the rechecking or answer sheet request window is open.
Submit an online request for rechecking by logging in with your registered credentials.
Pay the prescribed rechecking fee, of Rs.2000.

Have all answers been marked.
If there was a mistake in the totalling of marks for each question of answer booklet and/or transferring the marks correctly onto the first cover page of the answer booklet.

Yes, if you are in Class 12, you are eligible to sit for the NID DAT 2026 (BDes) exam. The National Institute of Design allows students who are in their final year of Class 12 or have already passed to apply.

Yes you are eligible to appear for NID DAT for the M.Des programme. Since you are in final make sure you will have completed your BA by the required deadline. Also go through the specific specializations you want to apply for, some may require certain specific backgrounds to be eligible to apply for them. As 563 rank in nid dat exam cannot guarantee admission in designing college but it could be a good chance to explore some campus as if you are not from general category as category role plays an important role .
