The students who want to obtain NID Ahmedabad admission must fulfill certain eligibility requirements before taking admissions. The main NID DAT eligibility criteria for NID Ahmedabad admissions are listed below.

• The students must have completed 10 + 2 levels of education from any stream.
• The students must be under the age of 20 years on July 1st of the year of admission. There is a 3-year relaxation for OBC-NCL, SC, ST Students. And there is also a 5 year relaxation for PWD students.

The National Institute of Design will release the application form for the NID DAT exam. As per NID exam pattern, prelims exam is an entrance test which consists of design aptitude, visual observation and analytical abilities. The NID exam has MCQs, subjective questions and sketching questions. However, as NID exam analysis, there were only subjective drawing-based questions in the exam.

The NID mains exam involves Studio test and personal interview rounds that the students have to appear if they qualify in the NID Prelims exam. The students need to showcase their practical skills and problem-solving abilities along with their communication abilities.

To get BDes admissions at NID Ahmedabad, candidates need to appear first for the prelims. Shortlisted candidates in the NID prelims will be eligible to appear for the mains. As per the NID selection criteria, for final selection of the candidates, only marks in the NID mains will be considered.

NID Ahmedabad Counselling 2027

Candidates shortlisted after the NID mains must register for the NID counselling which is a centralised process for NID seat allotment. The detailed process of the counselling for NID Ahmedabad admission process is as follows.

1. After the declaration of NID final results, the students need to submit their campus preference with in the schedule time. NID Ahmedabad must be given as the first preference.
2. In the first round of NID seat allotment, the candidates will be offered seats based on their campus preference in order of merit. The students need to pay a non-refundable token fee of Rs. 30,000.
3. After the fee payment, the students need to upload the required documents which are as follows.

• Any valid photo identity
• Birth certificate or proof of birth
• 10th Marks sheet
• 12th Marks sheet
• Self-undertaking in the prescribed format for those students who have not yet got
• Class 12 results
• Caste certificate or minority certificate (if applicable)
• PWD certificate and UDID card (if applicable)

4. After the students have uploaded the required documents, the authorities will verify them against the information that they have provided in their application form.

5. The candidates who have been successfully allotted seats will be given a NID provisional offer letter for admission.
