The students who want to obtain NID Ahmedabad admission must fulfill certain eligibility requirements before taking admissions. The main NID DAT eligibility criteria for NID Ahmedabad admissions are listed below.

• The students must have completed 10 + 2 levels of education from any stream.
• The students must be under the age of 20 years on July 1st of the year of admission. There is a 3-year relaxation for OBC-NCL, SC, ST Students. And there is also a 5 year relaxation for PWD students.

The National Institute of Design will release the application form for the NID DAT exam. NID Ahmedabad Counselling 2026

Candidates who qualify in the entrance exam must register for the NID counselling according to which the seat allotment will be done, based on the preference of the candidates which they submit. The detailed process of the counselling for NID Ahmedabad admission process is as follows.

1. After the declaration of NID 2026 final results, the students need to submit their campus preference with in the schedule time.
2. In the first round of NID seat allotment, the candidates will be offered seats based on their campus preference in order of merit. The students need to pay a non-refundable token fee of Rs. 30,000.
3. After the fee payment, the students need to upload the required documents which are as follows.

• Any valid photo identity
• Birth certificate or proof of birth
• 10th Marks sheet
• 12th Marks sheet
• Self-undertaking in the prescribed format for those students who have not yet got
• Class 12 results
• Caste certificate or minority certificate (if applicable)
• PWD certificate and UDID card (if applicable)

4. After the students have uploaded the required documents, the authorities will verify them against the information that they have provided in their application form.

5. The candidates who have been successfully allotted seats will be given a NID provisional offer letter for admission.
