According to the last year's UCEED exam pattern released by IIT Bombay, the marking scheme of UCEED Part A - Multiple Select Question (MSQ) is expected the same. A number of questions in MSQ will also remain the same.
Changes in the UCEED Marking Scheme
- +4 marks will be awarded if all the correct options are chosen for each question.
- +3 marks will be given only if three options are chosen out of four correct options and no incorrect answer is chosen.
- +2 marks will be awarded if three or more options are correct but chosen only two options and none of the incorrect options are selected.
- +1 mark will be allotted if only one option is chosen out of two or more correct options and none of the incorrect options are chosen.
- 0 (Zero) mark to the un-attempted question.
- -1 for incorrect answers.

UCEED exam pattern 2023 includes a marking scheme, exam duration, maximum marks, question format, and many more. Check the table below to know the part-wise exam pattern of UCEED 2023.
UCEED Exam Pattern - Part A
Number of Sections: According to the UCEED exam pattern, the question booklet contains a total of three sections.
Mode of the Examination: As per the exam pattern of the UCEED exam pattern, UCEED Part A will be conducted in online mode whereas Part B will be held in pen and paper mode.
Total Number of Questions: A total of 68 questions will be asked in UCEED Part A.
Type of Questions: In accordance with the UCEED 2023 exam pattern, there are three sections. Section 1 will consist of numerical answer type questions, Section 2 will contain multiple select questions (MCQs) and Section 3 consists of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
Medium of Language of Question Paper: The medium of the language for the UCEED question paper is English.

UCEED 2023 Exam Pattern - Part B
The question of Part B will be displayed on the computer screen, however, candidates have to answer in the answer booklet provided by the invigilator only. In Part B, there will be only one question and candidates have 30 minutes to solve the question.
The invigilator will collect the booklet at the end of the exam
It is mandatory for the candidates to answer Part B questions.

UCEED Exam Syllabus 2023
UCEED 2023 syllabus comprises all the topics on which the questions of the entrance exam will be framed. Aspiring students must go through the UCEED syllabus 2023 to understand the important topics for the entrance exam. UCEED syllabus for both Part A and Part B is given below.

Revised UCEED syllabus (Effective from 2024)
IIT Bombay has introduced changes in the syllabus and exam structure for UCEED entrance exams. The revised syllabus and structure of UCEED will be effective from 2024.
As per the new paper structure of UCEED, the question paper will consist of 2 parts - Part A and Part B.
- Part A will be administered through a computer-based test and will consist of three sections such as NAT, MSQ, and MCQ.
- Part B will have two questions: one is drawing and the other is design aptitude.
- The question in Part B will be displayed on the computer screen and the answer should be written/ drawn only in the answer book provided by the supervisor.
- The duration of Part B is 60 minutes.

Hey, I passed my 12th in 2021 and didnt appear for Uceed in that year. I first attempted for Uceed in 2022. Will I be able to appear for it in 2023?

UCEED is a National level test examination which is for undergraduate common interest test for B design admission. This Exam held once in a year in 24 cities across India. Candidate who who is born on 1.1.95 or after this year eligible for taking admission in BDes. Delete who has passed examination in art Science commerce stream are visible for appear in this UCEED exam. As the exam held once in a year so there is no scope for any candidate to appear more than one times. Candidate can appear in this examination in the two consecutive years only.
can anyone tell how ceed works ? My plan is to finish 12th, do the mains , do a three year course on BE and for my MDes in animation design i need to attend ceed? then what about uceed? can anyone give a detailed explanation regarding this

Yes, if you are seeking admission in B.Des. course of VIT Vellore then you have to appear for UCEED entrance examination but note that for this year it has already been conducted and even it's result has also been announced by IIT Bombay, so now you can only appear in next year for it if you are going to appear for your class 12th examination in 2023 otherwise whenever you will appear for class 12th or equivalent examinations, only in the same year you can appear for UCEED, neither in next year nor in previous year.
UCEED 2023 ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA :-
******** Candidate must complete the HSC exam/10+2 board exam in the year 2023.
******** Candidates appearing for 10+2 board exam in the year 2023 are eligible to apply for UCEED 2023 provided that they must pass the qualifying exam at the time of admission, otherwise, the candidature will be canceled.

See for UCEED, there is an eligibility condition which says that if the candidate wants to appear for UCEED 2022 then he/she must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination in 2022 otherwise he/she would not be eligible for it. So you cannot appear for UCEED 2022 if you pass your class 12th in 2021 or earlier.
