Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay released the UCEED exam pattern 2025 at its official portal - uceed.iitb.ac.in. UCEED paper pattern 2025 includes details on UCEED total marks, number of questions, exam duration and more. UCEED exam total marks are 300.The UCEED question paper will include 2 parts - Part A and B. As per exam pattern, the UCEED total marks 2025 will be 300, where 200 marks are for part A and 100 marks are for part B.

The UCEED pattern for 2025 exam have some changes. The changes are listed in the below table in terms of questions and their marks as per UCEED pattern.

UCEED 2025 Exam Pattern - Highlights
There will be ONE question paper of a total three hours duration.
The question paper will be in English only.
UCEED exam total marks are 300.
UCEED paper pattern 2025 includes two parts - Part-A and Part-B. It is compulsory to attempt questions from both parts.
Note: Utmost care is taken to prepare an error free question paper in UCEED 2025. However, if an error is detected in the question paper, the UCI Committee shall take an appropriate decision after the examination, which shall be final.
UCEED Exam Pattern 2025 for Part A
The part A of the UCEED entrance exam consists of three sections and is a Computer based test. The UCEED total marks for Part A section is 200 and the students will be allotted 2 hours to solve all the questions involved in it.
UCEED Paper Pattern Part A: Types of Questions Asked
Numerical Answer Type: These are the first type of questions in which the answer is a number which must be entered using the virtual keyboard available on the computer screen. There will be 14 questions in total in this section with each carrying 4 marks so that the total marks of this section is 56. It must be noted that there is no negative marking for the wrong answer in this section.
Multiple Select Questions: The students will be given options in this question and one or more of them can be correct. There will be 15 questions from this section, and it will carry partial marking as per rules mentioned below:
UCEED Marking Scheme 2025 for MSQ Questions
Full Marks: + 4 If only (all) the correct option(s) is(are) chosen and NONE of the incorrect options is chosen.
Partial Marks: + 3 If all the four options are correct but ONLY three options are chosen and NONE of the incorrect options is chosen.
Partial Marks: + 2 If three or more options are correct but ONLY two options are chosen, both of which are correct and NONE of the incorrect options is chosen.
Partial Marks: + 1 If two or more options are correct but ONLY one option is chosen, and it is a correct option and NONE of the incorrect options is chosen.
Zero Marks: 0 If NONE of the options is chosen (i.e., the question is unanswered).
Negative Marks: -1 In all other cases
UCEED Past 5 Years Cutoff (2020-2024)
Candidates seeking BDesign admission in IITs can check past 5 years UCEED cutoff.
Download EBookIt must be noted that there is negative marking of -1 for these types of questions. For each correct answer the students will get 4 marks and the total mark for this section is 60.
Multiple Choice Questions: The multiple-choice questions will carry for choices out of which the students have to select the most appropriate one. Only one option out of the four given options will be correct which the students need to identify to get full marks. A total of 28 questions carrying 3 marks each will be there in this section resulting in 84 marks. There is a negative marking of -0.71 for each wrong answer.

UCEED Part B Exam Pattern 2025
The Part B answers of UCEED is to be drawn or written in the answer booklet provided by the invigilator. A total of 100 marks is allotted to this section which has to be attempted within one hour. The students must know that there will be only two questions which will test their drawing skills and design aptitude. This will be a subjective evaluation and the questions will be available on the computer screen for which the answers are to be drawn and written on the answer booklet. The submission of the answer booklet at the end of the examination to the invigilator is mandatory. Each of the two questions in part B of UCEED will carry 50 marks.

UCEED Review or Re-Totalling 2025
As per the UCCED 2025 official brochure, Part-A will be conducted as a computer-based test. Hence there is no provision of reviewing, re-grading or re-totalling of the Part-A marks of the exam paper. The UCEED Part-B consists of 2 questions which will be evaluated manually by the examiners. As UCEED 2025 Part-B is a subjective section, there is no model solution that exists. As such there is NO provision for RE-EVALUATION or RE-TOTALLING in UCEED 2025, hence the request for re-evaluation/re-totalling will NOT be possible under any circumstances.
UCEED Syllabus 2025
Before starting the preparation for the UCEED 2025 exam, the candidates must be aware of the UCEED exam pattern and syllabus. 1. Who is eligible for UCEED 2025?
To appear for UCEED 2025 entrance exam a candidate's UCEED 2025 eligibility is to have qualified 10+2 or equivalent or must be appearing the board exams in the current year. The candidate from all the streams (Science, Commerce, and Arts & Humanities) are also eligible. However, the candidate has to be from science stream with Biology/ Maths if they want to join IIITDM Jabalpur. For IIT Roorkee and Guwahati students need to have maths as a compulsory subject.

Scoring 140 marks in Part A of UCEED 2025 is a great achievement. To assess your chances of getting into an IIT, let's look at the previous year's cutoffs.
In UCEED 2023, the cutoffs for the general category were:
- IIT Bombay: 1-16
- IIT Guwahati: 17-59
- IIT Hyderabad: 21-53
- IIITDM Jabalpur: 55-93
Considering your score, you might have a good chance of getting into IIT, especially if your drawing marks are decent. However, please note that the cutoffs can vary from year to year.
To give you a better idea, the mean and standard deviation for Part-A (UCEED 2025) are 61.50 and 25.69, respectively. The cutoffs for Part-A marks to shortlist candidates in the OPEN category will be calculated based on these values.
Keep in mind that the final merit list will be prepared based on the combined scores of Part A and Part B. So, it's essential to perform well in the drawing section as well.

In the case of UCEED , if you mistakenly draw or write your answers in the wrong sections (e.g., answering the first question in the second question's answer sheet), it typically gets evaluated based on the content and clarity of your response.
However, to avoid any confusion or errors in evaluation, it’s always recommended to:
- Clearly follow the instructions and write in the designated sections.
- If you realize the mistake during the exam, try to cross-check your answer sheets to correct it.

There is no requirement of tick in part B in UCEED as Part-B consists of TWO questions to test the candidates' drawing skills and design aptitude. This will require subjective evaluation. The questions in Part-B will be displayed on the computer screen, and the answer must be written/drawn in the answer book provided by the invigilator.
So don't worry your copy gets check and marks will be added in your final score that is used for counselling process.
