Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay will notify the UCEED 2027 syllabus on the official website - uceed.iitb.ac.in. The UCEED syllabus consists of two parts - Part A and Part B. Part A consists of numerical answer-type, multiple-select questions, and multiple-choice questions. Whereas Part B of the UCEED exam syllabus 2027 consists of a subjective section that tests drawing and design skills. Candidates have to appear for both parts of the UCEED entrance exam. The UCEED entrance exam will consist of two equally important parts. Understanding the pattern and syllabus of each part will ensure that students are well-versed with the exam. Given below are the details of both parts of the syllabus of UCEED Part A and Part B.
The first part consists of three types of questions that need to appear in a computer-based test. To solve this part of the paper, the students will be allotted 2 hours. A total of 57 questions will be asked in this section, with 200 marks. Some of these questions will also carry negative marking.
Visualization and spatial reasoning: Ability to visualise and transform 2D shapes and 3D objects and their spatial relationships.
Practical and scientific knowledge: Know-how of scientific principles and everyday objects.
Observation and design sensitivity: The capacity to detect concealed properties in daily life and think critically about them. Attention to detail, classification, analysis, inference, and prediction.
Environment and society: General awareness of environmental, social, and cultural connections with design.
Analytical and logical reasoning: Ability to analyse qualitative and quantitative information.
Language: Proficiency in reading and comprehending Standard English.
Creativity: Grasp of verbal and non-verbal analogies, metaphors, signs, and symbols.
Part B of the UCEED syllabus is the subjective part of the entrance examination that tests the drawing and design aptitude. While the questions will be displayed on the computer screen, the answers must be entered in offline mode.
Drawing: Draw products, people, or scenes in proportion with good line quality, composition, proportion, perspective, and shading.
Design aptitude: Practically and appropriately respond to problems/situations with ingenuity and empathy
