NMIMS DAT 2026: Registration (Open), Exam Date Out, Eligibility, Pattern, Syllabus, Preparation

NMIMS School of Design has opened the NMIMS DAT 2026 application form online on February 4. During the NMIMS DAT 2026 registration, candidates have to submit basic details such as name, email ID, and mobile number, followed by a detailed submission of information, uploading of documents, and payment of the application fee. The last to register for NMIMS DAT is February 28 and April 25 for phase 1 and phase 2 respectively.

How to fill the NMIMS DAT application form 2026?

• Visit the official website - ndat.nmims.edu and click on new registration
• First, register for NMIMS DAT 2026 and log in to the dashboard.
• Fill out the NMIMS B.Des registration form 2026.
• Upload the required documents.
• Pay the NMIMS DAT application fee.
• Submit the NMIMS DAT 2026 application form

The authorities prescribe the NMIMS DAT 2026 eligibility criteria along with the official notification. The eligibility criteria of NMIMS DAT include the list of conditions and requirements that students have to meet to be eligible for admission into NMIMS design course. 

NMIMS Eligibility Criteria 

• To apply for NMIMS DAT, the candidates should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination in any stream and should have obtained a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from a recognized Board.
• International Baccalaureate Diploma (I.B. certificate/& D.P. awarded candidates) are eligible only if they have cleared their I.B. exam with a total of 24 credits (compulsory) and passed 3 H.L. & 3 S.L. mandatorily.
• Age Limit: Candidates above 25 years are not eligible to apply for NMIMS DAT 2026.

Before starting with NMIMS DAT 2026 preparation, candidates are advised to refer to the exam pattern as released by the authorities. The NMIMS exam pattern includes important details on the entrance exam such as duration, marking scheme, type of questions asked and much more. As per the NMIMS exam pattern, the authorities conduct the exam in offline mode for 75 minutes and the Personal Interview for around 10 to 20 minutes.

NMIMS DAT Exam Pattern 

Candidates are hereby provided with some preparation tips to ace the NMIMS DAT exam in a smooth manner.

• Practice drawing and sketching regularly.
• Set certain duration and try completing the task on time for practise of time management.
• Keep yourself updated with the latest fashion trends.
• Solve previous year's sample papers to know the exam pattern and complete the paper as per the allotted time.
• Improve visualisation skills by observing the projects keenly to describe.
• Improve communication skills

The NMIMS 2026 admit card, which is the call letters issued for the studio test, personal interview, and submission of the portfolio will be released on March 3 and April 27 for phase 1 and 2 respectively. The NMIMS call letter includes important details such as the exam date, time, and guidelines for the exam day. These call letters are available on the student dashboard of the official NMIMS website. 

How to download NMIMS DAT 2026 admit card?

• Visit the official website - ndat.nmims.edu.
• Log in to the candidate dashboard with the registered mail ID to download the ‘NMIMS-DAT Admit card’ or NMIMS-DAT call letters 2026
• Enter the required credentials - login ID and password.
• The NMIMS DAT 2026 admit card will appear on the screen.
• Download the admit card for the NMIMS DAT exam and take a printout for further use.

NMIMS School of Design will declare the NMIMS DAT 2026 result on its official website on March 20 and May 15 for phase 1 and 2 respectively. The result will be declared separately for each phase of the entrance exam. Candidates who are shortlisted in the NMIMS DAT 2026 merit list are required to pay the admission fees and complete document verification. 

How to check NMIMS DAT 2026 result?

• Go to the official website of NMIMS DAT/ dashboard.
• Click on the ‘NMIMS-DAT 2026 Result’ tab.
• Enter the required credentials - DAT ID and date of birth.
• The merit list of NMIMS DAT 2026 will be displayed on the screen.
• Download the NMIMS B.Des merit list 2026 and take the printout of the same.

The NMIMS DAT 2026 admission process includes four steps, namely - exam registration, appearing for the NMIMS DAT, appearing for the PI round, and portfolio submission. and publication of the merit list by the institute.

Step 1: NMIMS DAT registration

• First, candidates have to register themselves on the official website of the exam and filled out the online NMIMS DAT application form. The NMIMS DAT Application Fee is Rs. 2000 and is non-refundable.

Step 2: Portfolio upload

• After the first step, candidates should have their portfolios ready to submit during the personal interview. Call letters for the studio exam will be uploaded on the candidate dashboard.

Step 3: NMIMS DAT Studio Test, Personal Interview, and Portfolio Review

• NMIMS DAT Studio Test and Personal Interview will be conducted in offline mode.

Step 4: NMIMS DAT result

• Names of all the candidates who qualify for the Design Entrance Test will appear in the NMIMS DAT Merit List. NMIMS will publish the merit list on its official website.
