NMIMS DAT 2027: Registration, Exam Date, Eligibility, Pattern, Syllabus, Preparation Tips

The authorities prescribe the NMIMS DAT 2027 eligibility criteria along with the official notification. The eligibility criteria of NMIMS DAT include the list of conditions and requirements that students have to meet to be eligible for admission into NMIMS design course. 

NMIMS Eligibility Criteria 

• To apply for NMIMS DAT, the candidates should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination in any stream and should have obtained a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from a recognised Board.
• International Baccalaureate Diploma (I.B. certificate/& D.P. awarded candidates) are eligible only if they have cleared their I.B. exam with a total of 24 credits (compulsory) and passed 3 H.L. & 3 S.L. mandatorily.
• Age Limit: Candidates above 25 years are not eligible to apply for NMIMS DAT.

NMIMS School of Design will tentatively open the NMIMS DAT 2027 application form in February 2027. Candidates can apply online by the prescribed deadline. During the NMIMS DAT 2027 registration, candidates have to submit basic details such as name, email ID, and mobile number, followed by a detailed submission of information, uploading of documents, and payment of the application fee.

How to fill the NMIMS DAT application form 2027?

• Visit the official website - ndat.nmims.edu and click on new registration
• Enter basic details such as name, email ID, and mobile number to generate login credentials
• Log in and fill out the NMIMS B.Des registration form.
• Upload the required documents.
• Pay the NMIMS DAT application fee.
• Submit the NMIMS DAT 2027 application form

The NMIMS DAT 2027 exam pattern will be provided in the information brochure. The NMIMS DAT exam pattern includes important details on the entrance exam, such as duration, marking scheme, type of questions asked and much more. The NMIMS DAT exam consists of a studio test and an interview.

Candidates are hereby provided with some preparation tips to ace the NMIMS DAT exam in a smooth manner.

• Solve previous year's sample papers to know the exam pattern and complete the paper as per the allotted time.

The NMIMS 2027 admit card, which is the call letter issued for the studio test, personal interview, and submission of the portfolio, will be released a few days before the exam. The NMIMS call letter includes important details such as the exam date, time, and guidelines for the exam day. These call letters are available on the student dashboard of the official NMIMS website. 

How to download NMIMS DAT 2027 admit card?

• Visit the official website - ndat.nmims.edu.
• Log in to the candidate dashboard with the registered mail ID to download the ‘NMIMS-DAT Admit card’ or NMIMS-DAT call letters
• Enter the required credentials - login ID and password.
• The NMIMS DAT admit card will appear on the screen.
• Download the admit card for the NMIMS DAT exam and take a printout for further use.

NMIMS School of Design will declared the NMIMS DAT 2027 result tentatively a week after the exam. Candidates can check the NMIMS DAT result through their login. The authorities declare the NMIMS DAT result separately for each phase.  Candidates who are shortlisted in the NMIMS DAT merit list are required to pay the admission fees and complete document verification. 

How to check the NMIMS DAT 2027 result?

• Go to the official website of NMIMS DAT/ dashboard.
• Click on the ‘NMIMS-DAT 2027 Result’ tab.
• Enter the required credentials - DAT ID and date of birth.
• The merit list of NMIMS DAT will be displayed on the screen.
• Download the result for future reference

The NMIMS DAT admission process includes four steps, namely - exam registration, appearing for the NMIMS DAT, appearing for the PI round, and portfolio submission. and publication of the merit list by the institute.

Step 1: NMIMS DAT registration

• First, candidates have to register themselves on the official website of the exam and filled out the online NMIMS DAT application form. The NMIMS DAT Application Fee is Rs. 2000 and is non-refundable.

Step 2: Portfolio upload

• After the first step, candidates should have their portfolios ready to submit during the personal interview. Call letters for the studio exam will be uploaded on the candidate dashboard.

Step 3: NMIMS DAT Studio Test, Personal Interview, and Portfolio Review

• NMIMS DAT Studio Test and Personal Interview will be conducted in offline mode.

Step 4: NMIMS DAT result

• Names of all the candidates who qualify for the Design Entrance Test will appear in the NMIMS DAT Merit List. NMIMS will publish the merit list on its official website.
