Tell us about yourself?/ Introduce yourself.
This is one of the most common questions asked by the examiners at the start of the interview. Students are advised to not simply repeat everything written in their application form but briefly tell about themselves, their academic background and professional experiences. Students should brief examiners on why they have chosen NIFT and a particular programme and keep it natural within 1-2 minutes.

From this question, the interview panel usually wants to understand the student's ability to think beyond fashion as only clothes, celebrities or trends. Examiners look for understanding of culture, identity, new technologies, sustainability and business understanding.
What Is Your Favourite Fashion Brand?
The interviewer may ask this to understand how aware a student is of brands and consumer preferences.

What attracts you to the brand?
Who is its target audience?
What is its design language?
What makes it different?
Which product or campaign interests you?
