IIT Bombay conducts the UCEED exam for admission into B.Des programmes at various IITs and other institutes. Candidates appearing for UCEED 2027 may want to know, “What is a good score for UCEED 2027?” Based on the trends seen in the UCEED entrance exam, a score of around 180-200+ marks can be considered a good score for UCEED 2027 for the open category. A good score in UCEED varies for different categories. It also varies every year based on the difficulty level of the UCEED exam. The UCEED seat allotment will be done based on scores in UCEED 2027 and the campus preferences given by candidates. IIT Bombay will conduct the UCEED 2027 entrance exam on January 17, 2027. As per last year's UCEED result evaluation criteria, the final score will be calculated based on the candidate's score in Part A and Part B of the exam. To get admission to the IITs, candidates will need to score well in the exam to meet the UCEED cutoff marks set by the participating institutions. A candidate has to obtain a good score in Part A as well as a good total score in UCEED to clear the overall cutoff. Only those candidates who clear the Part A cutoff are evaluated for Part B and assigned a rank.
What is Good Score in UCEED Part A ?
As per the previous year's data given in the table below, the good score in UCEED Part A is around 75 to 83 marks. Candidates who secure marks in the mentioned range those candidates papers will be evaluated for Part B. The marks mentioned here are only estimates, and the actual marks might vary depending on the performance of the candidates.

The Part B paper will be evaluated only for the candidates who clear the Part A cutoff. Based on the table given above, candidates are expected to have a score of around 180-200+ marks to get a rank of 150 or higher in UCEED 2027 open category. A rank of 150+ will enable an open-category candidate to clear the overall UCEED cutoff and secure a seat in the admission process. The UCEED 2027 cutoff is the minimum score required to qualify for the B.Des admission process. The cutoff formula for the OPEN category is as follows:

The reserved categories will have a lower cutoff, which is expected to be 0.9 times the OPEN cutoff for OBC-NCL/EWS and 0.5 times the OPEN cutoff for SC/ST/PwD.
