The UCEED tie-break policy is the set of rules that are applied to resolve the situation when two or more candidates have obtained the same total marks in UCEED 2026. In case of a tie in the total marks (when two or more candidates obtain the same marks), the following tie-break policy will be used for awarding ranks:
Higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who has obtained higher marks in Part-B.
If this does not break the tie, higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who has obtained higher marks in Section 2 of Part-A.
If the tie still exists, higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who has obtained higher marks in Section 1 of Part-A.
If the tie is not resolved by the above criteria, then the candidates will be assigned the same rank.
The tie-break policy is important for candidates to understand as it may affect their chances of getting admission to their preferred college and branch. Candidates can check their ranks and marks on the official website as and when they get declared through the UCEED result 2026.

Hello!
UCEED is a competitive exam for design aspirants, testing design aptitude, logical thinking, creativity, and visualisation skills. To improve your score out of 300, start by understanding the exam pattern—Part A (objective) and Part B (subjective). For Part A, practice reasoning, numerical aptitude, and environmental & social awareness questions. For Part B, focus on drawing, sketching, and presenting your ideas clearly. Solve past year UCEED papers and join online mock test series. Spend at least 2–3 hours daily practising creative problem-solving and sketching. Also, work on time management because the exam requires quick thinking.
