The UCEED tie-break policy is the set of rules that are applied to resolve the situation when two or more candidates have the same total marks in UCEED 2025. In case of a tie in the total marks (i.e., when two or more candidates obtain the same marks), the following tie-break policy will be used for awarding ranks:
Higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who has obtained higher marks in Part-B.
If this does not break the tie, higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who has obtained higher marks in Section 2 of Part-A.
If there is still a tie, higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who has obtained higher marks in Section 1 of Part-A.
If the tie is not resolved by the above criteria, then the candidates will be assigned the same rank.
