UCEED Eligibility Criteria 2020 - Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IIT), Bombay announced the eligibility criteria for UCEED 2020 on September 20. The UCEED eligibility criteria include the minimum academic qualifications and the marks that are required by the candidates to be eligible to apply for UCEED 2020. The eligibility criteria of UCEED 2020 also includes the minimum age of the candidates to apply for UCEED 2020. UCEED Eligibility Criteria 2020 - Qualifying Exam

According to the eligibility criteria of UCEED 2020, candidates will have to pass the qualifying exam in 2019 or should be appearing in 2020. Candidates belonging to any of the following stream(Science without Maths or Physics or Chemistry, Commerce, and Arts & Humanities) are eligible to apply to only IIT Bombay, IIT Hyderabad and IIITDM Jabalpur.

Candidates from the Science Stream with Physics, Chemistry and Maths as subjects are eligible to apply to all the four institutes.(IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad and IIITDM Jabalpur)

Eligibility Criteria of UCEED 2020 - Age Limit

Only those candidates who are born on or after October 1, 1995, if they belong to the open or OBC-NCL category, will be able to apply for UCEED 2020. Those who belong to SC, ST or PwD category should be born on or after October 1, 1990, only such candidates will be eligible to fill the UCEED application form 2020.

UCEED 2020 Eligibility Criteria - Total Number of Attempts

Candidates can appear for the entrance exam of UCEED twice and that also consecutively. UCEED 2020 score will be valid only for one year for admission in the corresponding academic year.

The application form of UCEED 2020 has released in online mode on October 9. Candidates will be able to fill the application form November 9. It is important that candidates check all the parameters before they fill the UCEED application form 2020. Before filling the registration form, candidates must also keep all the information ready with them so that they do not face any problem while filling the form.

Question: Am I eligible to apply for admission in B.Des if I have qualified JEE Main or JEE Advanced?


Candidates will have to clear UCEED 2020 to be eligible to apply for admission to B.Des course. If you have cleared the JEE Main or JEE Advanced then you are not eligible to apply for admission.

Question: If I am not able to upload valid OBC-NCL certificate before the last date to fill the application form, then can I provide OBC certificate


If you are applying under OBC-NCL category, then you will have to provide the certificate for the same or else your application form will be rejected.

Question: If i do not possess birth certificate then what should I do?


In case you do not have a birth certificate, then in such a scenario, you can upload a valid photo copy of either the Aadhaar card, passport or copy of X class marksheet/school leaving certificate showing your date of birth.

As per the eligibility criteria for UCEED 2020,  candidates who appeared in the qualifying exam in 2018 or before are not eligible to apply for UCEED 2020.

Only those  who have either passed the class XII or any other relevant qualifying exam either in 2019 or 2020 are eligible to  appear in UCEED exam, candidates from any streams are eligible.

Sorry to inform you, but as you stated you've passed 12th in 2018, so you're not eligible.

Can I use colour pencils in uceed 2020?

Dear Samrudhi, you cannot carry colour pencils to the exam hall. All you can carry is your Admit card and your Identity proof which can be your PAN Card, Aadhar Card, Voter Id, Driving License. You cannot carry anything like Color pencils, Geometry box, Study material, Abacus, Log books, Smart phones, Mobile phones, Calculators, Tablets, smart watches, digital watches, slide rule etc.

Firstly let me cleara you the point that you can find no authors for UCEED preparation.Now here are some topics they you should go for preparation.
Part A topics,
Observation and design sensitivity
Visualization and spatial ability
Analytical and logical reasoning
Environmental and social awareness
Design thinking and problem solving
Language and creativity

Part B,
You need to have a grip on particular points when your are going through above mentioned topics like,
In observation and design sensitivity you should have ability to detect hidden properties in people, ordinary things, event and situations
And when coming to visualization and spatial ability questions will be From manipulation of 2d and 3d shapes,objects and there spatial relation.

uceed stands for The Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED) is a joint entrance exam for post-graduate studies in the field of technological design . the students from different branch of engineering or architecture can apply here. see for electrical, mechanical, ece, civil, architecture all of the branches has some designing through it may be computer aided. there are software like matlab, solid works, ansys, autocad this software's uses in designing, electrical plant design, mechanical design and architectural design. o those candidates who wants to become design engineer should apply here. also animation and logo designing specialization are also available.


sir or madam, I am expecting score around 150 in uceed 2020 by a look on previous years question paper. I am ST category student. so, do I have any choice to get any IIT?

Cuttoff score of each IITs gets change each year as it depends upon level of paper. You need to score rank under 10 in ST category to get seat in IITs..For that you need to score 160+ score in UCEED..You may have chance with 150 score.For sureity you need target 160+ in UCEED..
