UCEED Eligibility Criteria 2019 - Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay mentions the UCEED 2019 eligibility criteria which candidates have to meet before they register for the entrance exam. UCEED eligibility criteria 2019 states the minimum age of candidates who are aiming to appear in the entrance test for the bachelor of design programme. According to the eligibility criteria, there is also a cap on the number of attempts which the candidates can take to appear in UCEED entrance exam. As per the UCEED 2019 eligibility criteria, candidates will have to ensure that they have passed any one of the qualifying exams which are mentioned in the article. UCEED entrance exam was conducted on January 19. The objective of the entrance exam is to admit candidates to B.Des programme which is offered at IIT Bombay, IITDM Jabalpur and IIT Guwahati. Total Number of Attempts 

According to the eligibility criteria of UCEED 2019, the candidate could take the exam two times consecutively. The validity of UCEED 2019 score will be for one year. The scores will be valid for that particular corresponding academic year.

Age Criteria 

According to UCEED eligibility criteria 2019, candidates have to meet the age criteria which is mentioned by the institute. The candidate who belongs to the general category, they should be born on or after October 1, 1994.

Candidates who belong to the reserved category such as SC, ST or PwD, they will have to be born on or after October 1, 1 989 to be eligible to appear in UCEED 2019.

Qualifying Exam 

The UCEED eligibility criteria 2019 states that the candidate should pass the qualifying exam which is Class XII in 2019 or they should be appearing in it in 2019.

Candidates belonging to humanities, commerce or science stream are eligible to appear for UCEED 2019.

Candidates who appeared in the qualifying exam in 2017 or before that, they are not eligible to appear for UCEED 2019.

What are the qualifying Exam for UCEED 2019? 

If the candidate has passed any one of the qualifying exams that are given below, they are eligible to appear for the UCEED 2019.


 List of Qualifying Exams 


General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London, Cambridge or Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) Level.


Final examination of the 10+2 system conducted by a recognized Central or State Board recognized by the Association of Indian Universities


Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with a minimum of 5 subjects.


High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva.


Intermediate or two year Pre-University examination conducted by a recognized Board or University by the Association of Indian Universities


Candidates who finished their 12th standard (or equivalent) exam from abroad or recognized as equivalent to the 10+2 system by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). Such candidates have to provide e a certificate from the Association of Indian

 Universities to the effect that the examination they have passed is equivalent to the Class

 XII examination.


In case the 12th standard exam is not a public exam, then the candidate have to clear at least one public (Board or Pre-University) exam earlier


Final exam of the two year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy.


Intermediate or two-year Pre-University examination conducted by a Board or University

recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).


Higher Secondary Certificate vocational examination


A Diploma recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (www.aicte-india.org) or a State Board of Technical Education of at least 3 years duration
