MAH BDes CET Eligibility Criteria 2026- Overview

The MAH B.Des CET exam eligibility criteria stipulates the requirements regarding academic qualifications, upper age limit, category reservations, and relaxations. Meanwhile, candidates are provided with the eligibility requirements as per the previous year. For the MAH BDes CET, there is no upper age limit. • Academic Qualification: Candidates must have passed or be appearing at the qualifying examination i.e., 10 + 2 or its equivalent, with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks (40% for reserved category, EWS and PwD candidates).
• Nationality: Candidates must be of Indian nationality.
• MAH BDesign CET Eligibility Criteria age limit: There is no age limit for admission who are appearing to the MAH B Design CET 2026.

Conditions Specified on Maharashtra State Candidature Type

The MAH BDes CET eligibility criteria also include specific conditions for Maharashtra State Candidature. Candidates can claim only one type of Maharashtra State Candidature, from Type A to E.

• For Type-A: Candidates must have passed both SSC and also HSC from a recognized institution in the Maharashtra State.
• Candidates must be either Domicile of Maharashtra and/or born in Maharashtra.
• Type-B: Candidates who do not fall in Type-A, but who or whose Father or Mother is domiciled in the State of Maharashtra and possess a Domicile Certificate.
• Type-C: Candidates who do not fall in either Type-A or Type-B, but whose Father or Mother is an employee of the Government of India or Government Of India Undertaking who has been posted and reported to duty in Maharashtra State before the last date for submission of Application Form for CAP.
• Type-D: Candidates who do not fall in any of the above Type-A, Type B, and Type-C, but whose Father or Mother is an employee or retired employee of The Government Of Maharashtra Or Government Of Maharashtra Undertaking.
• Type-E: Candidates passing SSC And/Or HSC Examination from a recognized institution located in a disputed Maharashtra Karnataka Border Area and whose mother tongue is Marathi.

Note: Children of NRI / OCI / PIO, Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries, and Foreign Nationals are granted an exemption from appearing for MAH BDesign CET.

MAH BDes CET Admission Criteria 2026

The Admission Criteria for Undergraduate Course in Design (Bachelor of Design) will be released through the official brochure. The MAH BDes CET eligibility criteria based on their candidature is categorised into different types:

• Maharashtra State Candidature Candidates: These candidates should be Indian Nationals who have passed the 10+2 examination with at least 45% marks in aggregate (40% for reserved categories).
• All India Candidature Candidates: This category includes candidates from the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh who have fulfilled equivalent academic prerequisites.
