FDDI AIST 2026: Overview

The full form of FDDI is Footwear Design and Development Institute is a premier design government institute offering courses with specialisation in Footwear Design & Production (FDP), Fashion Design for both B.Des and M.Des programmes and for B.Des, there is a specialisation in Leather, Lifestyle & Product Design (LLPD) as well. Every year, there are thousands of aspirants who want to pursue the design course for B.Des or M.Des programmes from FDDI.

FDDI AIST 2026 Eligibility

Aspirants who want to enrol in the FDDI Institute of Design must fulfil the following FDDI AIST eligibility criteria:

For the B.Des Programme

1. A candidate who has cleared

• 10+2 in any stream from a recognised Board or

• Any School or Board, or University examination in India or a Foreign country that is recognised by AIU as an equivalent

• School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a five subjects minimum

2. Candidates who have appeared for the examinations mentioned above but are yet to receive their scores or certificates will be granted provisional admission. They need to submit the scores by September 30, 2026 to avoid having their admission revoked

3. Age limit for the Bachelor’s programme shall be 25 years as on the 1st July 2026.

For the M.Des Programme

1. M.Des. (Footwear Design & Production): Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised Indian university. Candidates without a prior design background require bridge courses with 2-3 relevant subjects.

2. M.Des. (Fashion Design): Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised Indian university.

3. Candidates Awaiting Results: They will be eligible for provisional admission, but the final result must be submitted by September 30, 2026.

4. Age Limit: No age restriction for M.Des. or MBA programmes.

FDDI AIST 2026 Application Form

The FDDI institute started the FDDI AIST registration 2026 on January 1, 2026. The FDDI AIST application form is available on the official website - fddiindia.com. The candidates need to pay the FDDI AIST registration fee for the application form, which will be non-refundable. Before applying, candidates must fulfil the FDDI AIST eligibility criteria 2026. FDDI AIST 2026 Exam Pattern and Syllabus

The FDDI AIST exam will be conducted once a year. The FDDI AIST 2026 will be conducted offline with a duration of 2 hours 30 minutes. The FDDI AIST 2026 admit card will be issued online at fddiindia.com. Candidates must download the FDDI AIST hall ticket when it is released on May 1, 2026. It is mandatory for candidates to bring the AIST 2026 admit card along with a valid photo ID proof to the examination hall.
