UID Entrance Exam 2027: Application Form, Exam Date, Syllabus and Exam Pattern

United World Institute of Design has opened the UID 2026 application form in August 2026 on its official website - admissions.uid.edu.in. Interested candidates can fill out the UID DAT 2027 application form and submit it along with the application fee as prescribed by the authorities. The UID DAT 2027 registration process requires candidates to enter their personal information, communication details, and parents’ information, upload documents, and pay the application fee. 

Steps to apply for UID DAT 2027

Step 1 - Visit the official website - admissions.uid.edu.in

Step 2 - Enter basic details such as name, email address, mobile number, etc to complete the registration process

Step 3 - Once registration is done, aspirants will be able to create a password for the generated application number. 

Step 4 - Log in using the valid credentials and submit personal, academic, and communication details. 

Step 5 - Also, upload documents as per specifications. 

Step 6 - Finally, make the payment of the application fee.

UID entrance exam eligibility criteria are prescribed by the United World Institute of Design for candidates who want to appear for the entrance exam. The detailed eligibility criteria for the UID entrance exam 2027 can be checked below: 

For BDes:

• Applicants who have passed or are appearing for their 10+2 from any stream (OR) a 3-year diploma (equivalent to 10+2) from any recognized higher secondary board/institute.

For MDes:

• Applicants must have 10+2+3/4 years degree (OR) 5 years Diploma (pass/appearing) in any stream from a recognized institution or university.

UID entrance exam pattern 2027 is yet to be released by the United World Institute of Design for candidates seeking admission to the UG and PG design programmes. Meanwhile, the candidates are advised to check the last year's exam pattern for the UID entrance test as provided below:

• The exam will be for a total of 100 marks.
• The UID DAT entrance exam duration is 3 hours.
• The UID entrance exam will include a written test, and the shortlisted candidates will have to take a Creative Situation Test along with a Personal Interview and Portfolio Round.    
• In the situation test, the test-takers will be given different situations. They will be required to make models based on that. There will be questions requiring sketching as well.
• For the personal interview, the shortlisted candidates will have to appear for a personal interview. They will have to carry their portfolios as well.    

The UID DAT 2027 admit card will be released online at uid.edu.in. Registered candidates will be able to download the UID DAT admit card 2027 using their allotted login credentials. The UID DAT 2027 admit card consists of the exam date, time, venue details, and the instructions that have to be followed. Also, the aspirants appearing for the UID DAT entrance exam need to carry any one of the photo identity proofs along with them to the exam centre on the examination day.

• Driving license
• Aadhaar card
• Passport

Using the UID DAT answer key, the candidates will be able to calculate their score. Candidates to note that the official UID DAT answer key will not be released. However, the aspirants will be able to check the memory-based answers after the completion of the UID DAT entrance exam.
