Symbiosis BDes Admission Eligibility Criteria 2026

The students who want to take the Symbiosis design admission 2026 must know about the eligibility criteria that they need to fulfil before taking admissions. SEED eligibility criteria is released along with the official brochure. To take admission in the Symbiosis Institute of Design, the students must fulfil the Symbiosis B.Des admission eligibility:

• The students must have passed 10 + 2 level of education, any stream such as Science, Commerce, Arts, etc, from any recognised board. The students can also have a 10 + 3 diploma approved by the State Board of Technical Education.

• In case the student is appearing for the final exams of the minimum educational qualification, he or she must be declared passed before June of the admission year.

• Must have a minimum aggregate of 50% marks (SC/ST-45%) from the minimum educational qualification.

• Candidates having a Portfolio which is relevant will be preferred.

• Must have a creative aptitude required for design education.

Symbiosis Institute of Design Application Form 2026

The SEED 2026 application form for round 2 was opened on the official website on January 12, 2026. Interested applicants could complete SEED 2026 registration till March 15, 2026.

• Candidates need to fill out the Symbiosis Institute of Design application form 2026 through the official website sid.edu.in by clicking on the new registration tab.

• Fill in basic details such as name, date of birth, address, educational qualification, and upload a photo.

• Click on continue, and a SEED ID will be generated, and the students will receive an email notification regarding the same.

• The students will need to pay the SEED registration fee of Rs. 2250 and an additional programme registration fee of Rs 1000

Symbiosis Entrance Exam Pattern 2026

According to the SEED exam pattern, the Symbiosis entrance exam is conducted as an online proctored test. The duration of the exam is 60 minutes during which the students need to answer 60 questions, comprised of MCQs, match the columns, fill in the blanks, image-based, and comprehension-based questions.

As per the Symbiosis BDes exam syllabus, the following areas are the ones the students had to focus on for the Symbiosis Institute of Design entrance exam: Visual Sensitivity and Judgement, Observational, Perceptual and Reasoning abilities, Problem Solving, Basic knowledge of Logic of Science and Mathematics, Art, Craft and Culture, Design and Environment.

SEED result 2026 date for round 1 has been declared on January 19, 2026 and the the SEED 2026 result for round 2 has been declared on March 25, 2026. The shortlisted candidates in the SEED 2026 PRPI shortlist will be required to appear for the portfolio review and interview round.

Symbiosis Design Admission Process: Portfolio and Personal Interview Round

The students who seek Symbiosis design admission must qualify the entrance exam. Qualifying the entrance exam will require the students to appear for the PRPI round. The PRPI round includes the portfolio review and personal interaction. The students will be required to upload their portfolio on the portal a day before the PRPI round. The students will be required to perform the task which will be shared 3 days before the date chosen for SEED PRPI. The students are required to upload this task on the portal a day before their date of PRPI. On the day of portfolio review and personal interaction, the students need to appear online without fail.
