The National Testing Agency (NTA) will declare the NIFT result 2025 tentatively in March. NTA NIFT result date 2025 is yet to be announced. NIFT Result 2025: Difference between category merit rank or common merit rank
With the declaration of NIFT result 2025, the authorities will have to release two types of rank - category merit rank and common merit rank. Most often, students are confused between the two and search for the difference between category merit rank or common merit rank in NIFT. Common merit rank in NIFT is All India Rank irrespective of category, while category merit rank is the rank obtained by a candidate within their specific category, such as General, OBC, SC, ST, or PwD.

NIFT Rank List 2025
The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) offers various undergraduate and postgraduate courses in fashion and design. Every year, thousands of aspirants appear for the NIFT entrance exam, which consists of three stages: Creative Ability Test (CAT), General Ability Test (GAT), and Situation Test/Group Discussion/Personal Interview. Based on the performance of the candidates in these stages, the authorities will release the NIFT final merit list for admission to its 18 campuses across the country. The NIFT rank list is prepared by giving different weightage to each stage of the entrance exam is given in the following table:
NIFT Result 2025: Tie-Breaking Rule
In case two or more candidates get the same marks in NIFT result 2025, the following criteria will be followed while preparing the rank list.
At first, marks obtained in CAT will be compared.
If marks in CAT are also same then marks obtained in GAT will be taken.
If a tie exists after this also marks obtained subject-wise in the following order will be considered: Communication Ability, English Comprehension, Quantitative Ability, Analytical Ability, General Knowledge and Current Affairs.

NIFT Result 2025: Section-Wise Weightage
NIFT entrance exam results will be released in the form of a scorecard that contains subject-wise marks, All India Rank (AIR), and category rank. NIFT final result 2025 BDes will be prepared giving 50% weightage to CAT, while 30% and 20% to GAT and situation test respectively. NIFT full form is the National Institute of Fashion Technology, conducted for admission to UG and PG courses offered at 18 campuses.

NIFT Result 2025: Marks for incorrect questions
As per NTA NIFT entrance exam brochure, if a question for any reason is found to be wrong, the benefit of marks will be given to only those candidates who attempted the question. On examining the challenges by the subject experts, if it is found that along with the original answer key one more option(s) is correct, then marks will be awarded to all those candidates who have attempted any one of the correct options.
NIFT BFTech Result 2025
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will declare the NIFT results 2025 for BFTech with the BDes results. Candidates will have to visit nift.ac.in 2025 to download the NIFT 2025 result for BFTech. The authorities will conduct the NIFT BFTech exam 2025 tentatively in February.
How many students will appear in NIFT 2025?
National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release details on “Number of students appeared in NIFT” along with the result. However, based on previous year trends, approximately 20,000 to 25000 students appear for the NIFT entrance exam every year. The total number of seats for NIFT selected candidates are 5289.

NIFT 2025 Cutoff
The NIFT cut off 2025 will be released on its official website - nift.admissions.nic.in. The NIFT 2025 cut off is the minimum mark that candidates had to score to qualify for the NIFT entrance test. NIFT 2025 Counselling
NIFT counselling dates 2025 will be announced by the authorities on its official website - nift.admissions.nic.in. The candidates who qualify have to report to the allocated centre at the allotted date and time. The concerned authorities will verify the requisite documents provided during the NIFT online registration.
At the desired NIFT centres candidates will be offered their desired seat after this round. Students will have to carry the following documents for verification.

Hello aspirant,
The nationwide Institute of Fashion Technology offers a nationwide entrance exam called NIFT for admission to its fashion design programmes.
Every course has specific requirements that must be met in order to apply. For NIFT, there is no minimum age requirement, however it is evident that passing the 10+2 exam is a requirement in order to be admitted to any undergraduate programme in fashion design.
You cannot be admitted because you are in class eleven. However, you can apply to NIFT for experience and practice, and if your application is accepted, you can take the entrance exam. If you pass, however, be aware that you will not be able to retain your results for admission.

Dear Aspirant,
Yes! If you want to pursue your under graduation from nift after 12th or even if you are appearing for12th exam then you are eligible to apply for the exam. There are several courses offered by nift which includes undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes.
Age (Undergraduate degree programmes) -
- General - the maximum age should be less than 24 years as on 1st august in the year of examination
- Reserved category - 5 years relaxation

NIFT 2023 ELIGIBILITY - B.DES admission
1. Aspiring students must have completed a 10+2 board exam from any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Examination, such as Central Board of Secondary Education/State Board New Delhi, and Council for Indian School of Certificate Examination, New Delhi or,
2. Any Board/Public School/University Examination conducted in India or abroad which is equivalent to the 10+2 system and is accorded by the Association of Indian Universities or,
3. If candidates complete the General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/Sri Lanka/ Cambridge/) at the Advanced (A) level/International Baccalaureate (IB) then, they are eligible to apply or,
4. Students will also be eligible if they have passed the 10+2 examination conducted by the National Open School with at least five subjects or,
5. Diploma of 3 or 4 years which is recognized by AICTE or State Board of Technical Education.
Age limit - Candidates must be of 23 years of age as of August 1, 2022. However, candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST)/Person With Disability (PHP) get a relaxation of 5 years
Eligibility for B.F.Tech admission
1. Students must pass the Class 12 exam in the 10+2 pattern of examination with Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects from any recognized Central/ State Board of Secondary Examination, such as Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, and Council for Indian School of Certificate Examination, New Delhi or,
2. Any Public School/Board/University Exam in India or in foreign countries which is equivalent to a 10+2 system with Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics as a mandatory subjects. It must be recognized by the Association of Indian Universities or,
3. General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination(London/ Cambridge/ Sri Lanka) at the advanced (A) level with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/International Baccalaureate (IB) or,
4. Diploma of 3 or 4 years in any programme of engineering which is recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education or,
5. A passing grade in the Higher Secondary Education Examination held by the National Open School with at least five subjects - Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics

Hello,
For BVoc courses in interior design, separate entrance exams are conducted by the concerned colleges. By giving NIFT you can only get admission in BDes and MDes courses in NIFTs and some other participating institutes.

In 2022 NIFT Entrance Examination was conducted in 32 cities. The candidates have to select the preference of the examination cities while filling the application form. Based on the availability, preferences of the examination cities you will be allotted an examination center. You have to appear for NIFT Entrance Examination in the allotted examination center as per the given schedule. You can select any city where examination is conducted while filling your preferences, make sure that you select the cities such that you can commute on the day of examination easily. Next year the list of examination cities may increase or decrease, the cities may vary.
