NIFT Result 2020 - National Institute of Fashion Technology will announce NIFT 2020 result of the written test (CAT and GAT) in first week of March. Candidates can check their respective results by entering roll number and date of birth. Candidates who will qualify the exam will be called for the situation test/group discussion and personal interview, which will be held in April/May 2020. Registration for NIFT 2020 situation test will start from fourth week of March to first week of April 2020. Candidates can download the call letter for situation test by entering their credentials. NIFT final result will be declared in the third week of May 2020. NIFT entrance exam 2020 for B.Des. and B.F.Tech admissions will be conducted in third week of January. Qualified candidates will get admissions across sixteen campuses of NIFT, which includes more than 2,400 seats on merit basis of NIFT entrance exam 2020. Candidates who will sit for NIFT 2020 entrance exam can use the following steps to check their results:

Step 1 - Visit official website of NIFT. (https://nift.ac.in)
Step 2 - Click on ‘NIFT result 2020’ tab.
Step 3 - Candidates have to enter the following credentials- roll number and date of birth
Step 4 - Click on ‘Submit’ button.
Step 5 - Download the result and take a printout for future reference
The result of NIFT 2020 will be available in the form of scorecard. Candidates are advised to download the result after checking all the details and take a printout of the same. They will have to produce the scorecard at the time of counselling. The scorecard of NIFT 2020 will carry the following information:

GAT marks out of 30
Total marks out of 80

NIFT 2020 result will be prepared after considering the final scores, which will be declared in fourth week of March 2020. Admission to students will be given on the basis of scores obtained by the test-takers in CAT, GAT, group discussion, situation test and personal interview rounds.
National Institute of Fashion Technology will release the cutoff of NIFT 2020 which will be section-wise and campus-wise closing rank. Candidates who will meet the cutoff will be eligible to secure admission in the NIFT campus as well as course for which they fulfill the cutoff. Candidates can check the NIFT 2020 cutoff after admission procedure.
The counselling round for NIFT admissions 2020 will be conducted in June 2020 after all the admission rounds are over. The qualified candidates will be further asked to report to the allotted center at allotted date and time. NIFT authorities will verify the documents provided at the time of applying online. Post this round, a candidate will be offered their desired seat at their desired NIFT center. Candidates will have to carry the following documents for verification purpose:
Class 12 marksheet and passing certificate
In case the result is awaited, datesheet/admit card of the qualifying exam.
Bank draft of requisite fee in favor of ‘NIFT HO.’
Date of birth certificate
Category certificate, if applicable
Income statement of parents
Anti -ragging certificate
The reservation applicable during the final admission is mentioned below for all the categories.
A total of 3,590 seats (both UG and PG) will be offered to the eligible and qualified candidates solely on merit basis. NIFT includes sixteen campuses across India located in New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Kannur, Hyderabad, Gandhinagar, Bengaluru, Raebareli, Shillong, Patna, Kangra, Jodhpur, Bhubaneswar, Srinagar, Chennai and Bhopal.
The result of CAT and GAT will be announced in fourth week of March for B.Des programme. Candidates can check their results in online mode by using their roll number and date of birth.
Based on the result of written tests, shortlisted candidates will be called for situation test (B.Des. admissions). The final result was declared in third week of May 2020.
GAT, CAT and situation test were given 30%, 50% and 20% weightage respectively in the final result of NIFT admissions 2019.

For a exam like NIFT one month is a very less time. But if you work hard and smart . You can surely get success. First of all make a proper time table that you will study 14-16hrs daily. Ten after solve at least two previous year papers daily. Join a test series and see how are the results.

The NIFT entrance exam is a pen and paper test with two papers- Creative Aptitude Test (CAT) and General Aptitude Test (GAT). For B.Des. and M.Des., GAT is conducted for 2 hours and for B.F.Tech., M.F.M., and M.F.Tech., GAT is conducted for 3 hours because of the differences in the weightage. The number of questions also differ from course to course.
CAT evaluates your creativity and deigning aptitude. This is important if you are seeking Bachelors of Design as your course. Your intuition skills and observation skills should be put into practice to achieve good marks in the same. Colour and illustration skills become important and will also be evaluated in this.
GAT evaluates the academic aptitude like Mathematics (class 10th level), Reasoning, English Language and Comprehension. It also consists of GK, current affairs and the knowledge of the fashion industry.
English consists of spot the error, sentence correction, analogies, syntax, synonyms, antonyms, idioms and phrases, one word substitution, fill in the blanks, spelling errors, grammar and arranging the sentences or passages in the correct order.
Reasoning consists of verbal and non-verbal series, directions, ranking, calendar, sitting arrangement, coding-decoding, cubes and dices, clocks, syllogism, puzzles, blood relations, eligibility criteria, line counting, graph and related things.
GK and Current Affairs section apart from the GK and current affairs, also consists of questions based on fashion. Be aware of TV endorsements and their taglines used for different products in the same, fashion terminology, entertainment events, brands, logos, celebrities, Miss Universe, Miss World and fashion trends both which are in and out. Other than that, be thorough with current affairs consisting of the political, economic and social situation and also with sports, culture and history of India.
Mathematics consists of the pipes and cisterns, work time, simple interest, compound interest, averages, mensuration, set theory, number system, ratio and proportion, ages, profit and loss, speed time, height and distance,mixtures and allegations, trigonometry, upstream & downstream, permutation and combination and probability.
There are 100 questions for B.Des. paper which are divided as follows:
English Comprehension- 25 questions
Quantitative ability- 20 questions
Communication ability- 25 questions
Analytical ability- 15 marks
GK and current affairs- 15 marks
