NIFT Result 2027: Marks for incorrect questions

The authorities have notified that if a question, for any reason, is found to be wrong, the benefit of marks will be given only to those candidates who attempted the question. On examining the challenges by the subject experts, if it is found that, along with the original answer key, one or more options is correct, then marks will be awarded to all those candidates who have attempted any one of the correct options.

NIFT Result 2027: Tie-Breaking Rule

In case two or more candidates get the same marks in the NIFT result, the following criteria will be followed while preparing the rank list.

• First, marks obtained in CAT will be compared.
• If marks in CAT are also the same, then marks obtained in GAT will be taken.
• If a tie exists after this, also marks obtained subject-wise in the following order will be considered: Communication Ability, English Comprehension, Quantitative Ability, Analytical Ability, General Knowledge and Current Affairs.

NIFT Result 2027: Difference Between Category Merit Rank & Common Merit Rank

With the declaration of the NIFT 2027 result, authorities will also release two types of rank: Category Merit Rank and Common Merit Rank. The Common Merit Rank in NIFT is the All India Rank irrespective of category, while Category Merit Rank is the rank obtained by a candidate within their specific category, such as General, OBC, SC, ST, or PwD.

NIFT Counselling 2027

NIFT authorities will release the NIFT counselling schedule on their official website, nift.admissions.nic.in. Shortlisted candidates have to first register for the counselling process. The final NIFT seat allotment will be done based on the candidates' ranks and college preferences given by them. Allotted candidates must report to the allotted colleges, pay the fee, and complete the document verification process to secure admission.
