NIFT PG 2027: Registration, Exam Date, Eligibility, Syllabus, Pattern, MDes, MFM, MFTech Admission

It is mandatory for design aspirants to meet the NIFT PG 2027 eligibility criteria before proceeding to fill the NIFT PG application form. The NIFT PG eligibility criteria 2027 will be mentioned in the information brochure. Candidates can check the NIFT PG eligibility criteria specified below.

For MDes & MFM Programmes:

• Age Limit: There is no age limit to apply for M.Des and MFM programmes.

• Academic Qualification: Candidates who completed their undergraduate degree in any discipline from any recognized  Institute/University. Also, the students who passed their undergraduate 3 years diploma from NIFT/NID.

For the MFTech programme: 

• Age Limit: There is no age limit to apply for the MFTech programme.

• Academic Qualification: Candidates who completed their BFTech. from National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT)

(or)

• B.E/B.Tech. from any recognized institute or university.

NOTE: The applicants appearing for the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply.

The National Testing Agency will open the NIFT PG application form 2027 in December 2026. Candidates can complete NIFT registrations online from the official website. 

How to apply for the NIFT PG exam 2027?

Interested applicants can apply for NIFT PG exam 2027 online. Here are the steps to fill out the NIFT PG 2027 application form. 

• Visit the NTA official website 

• Provide basic details such as name, email ID, and mobile number to register and generate login credentials.

• Log in using the ID and password allotted during NIFT PG registration.

• Fill in the required details in the NIFT PG application form.

• Upload all the required documents.

• Pay the NIFT PG application fee.

• Submit and take the printout for further admission process. 

The NIFT PG exam pattern 2027 will be published in the official brochure published on the official website - nift.ac.in. The NIFT PG exam pattern informs the candidates about the type of questions, total number of questions, mode, and duration of the exam. NIFT PG entrance exam consists of two test sections - GAT (General Ability Test) and CAT (Creative Ability Test). The shortlisted candidates need to appear for a personal interview round (PI). The candidates shortlisted for the Master's programmes after the written entrance exam are required to undergo a Personal Interview (PI) round. 

Note: The number of questions in each section and each course may vary from year to year. Also, the difficulty levels in the questions for all courses may vary. 

Preparing for the NIFT PG exam 2027 is a quite challenging task for the design aspirants. Hence, the students are advised to check the preparation tips given below:

• Regularly practise drawing and sketching to improve the accuracy over creativity skills. 
• Keep up with the latest fashion trends and industry news to enhance the general knowledge.
• Set certain duration of time and try to create the model within the given time limit as to create a real time environment.
• Practice to solve previous years' question papers to understand the exam pattern and and complete it within the set time limit.
• Participate mock tests to build confidence and identify the weak areas that need improvement.
• Engage in activities that enhance the creativity and visualisation skills, essential for the design aptitude tests. 

The National Testing Agency will release the NIFT PG admit card 2027 tentatively 3-4 days before the exam. Candidates can download the admit card through their login. NTA will issue the NIFT PG 2027 city intimation slip before the admit card which informs the candidate about the city in which their exam centre is located.

The NIFT PG admit card contains details such as the candidate’s name, date of birth, application number, category, exam centre code, name and address, course name, reporting time, and candidate’s signature.  Candidates have to take a printout of the NIFT PG admit card and carry it to the exam centre on the interview day. 

Steps to download the NIFT PG 2027 admit card

• Visit the official NTA NIFT website .
• Click on the link ‘NIFT admit card’.
• Enter the login credentials (application number and date of birth).
• Click submit.
• The NIFT PG admit card will be displayed on the screen.
• Download the admit card and take a printout of the same for further use. 

Along with the NIFT PG exam admit card, the candidate must carry any one of the following identity proofs to the examination centre.

• Aadhaar Card
• Passport
• PAN Card
• Driving License
• Voter ID
• Latest institute’s identity card 

The NTA will release the NIFT PG provisional answer key tentatively a week after the exam. Candidates will be allowed to submit challenges for the provisional answer key through their login. After considering the valid objections, NTA will release the NIFT PG final answer key.

Candidates can use the NIFT PG final answer key to check their responses and estimate their probable scores before the release of NIFT PG final results. 

How to download the NIFT PG 2027 final answer key?

Candidates need to download the NIFT PG final answer key using the steps given below.

• Visit the official NTA NIFT website 
• Click on the NIFT answer key link
• Log in with your user credentials.
• The screen will display the NIFT PG 2027 answer key.
• Download and save the answer key

NTA will declare the NIFT PG entrance exam results tentatively in March 2027. Candidates can download the results of the NIFT PG entrance exam through their login.  Candidates who are shortlisted in the NIFT PG entrance exam result must attend the interview round, which is stage 2 of NIFT PG. The NIFT final result will be declared tentatively in June 2027. 

How to check the NIFT PG Result 2027? 

Candidates must follow the steps below to check and download the NIFT PG results.

• Visit the NTA NIFT’s official website.
• Check and click on the 'NIFT PG Final Result 2027.'
• Log in using the application number and password/and date of birth.
• The NIFT PG 2027 final results will appear on the screen.
• Download and take a printout of the result for future reference

The NIFT PG 2027 cutoff will be released on the admission portal. The authorities will release the NIFT PG cutoff for each counselling round. The NIFT PG cutoff is the minimum rank required for candidates to obtain admission into the NIFT PG programmes. 

The NIFT PG cutoff will be determined by different factors such as the difficulty levels of the exam, the total number of applications, the number of candidates who appeared for the exam, and the number of available seats. 

The authorities release the NIFT PG exam cutoff in the form of opening and closing ranks for each category, which includes Open, OBC-NC, SC, ST, PwD, EWS, NRI, Domicile-Open, Dom-UR, Dom-SC, SC-PwD, and ST-PwD. The NIFT PG cutoff indicates the last rank at which the candidate is offered admission. 

The NIFT PG 2027 counselling dates will be notified on the admission website. Candidates shortlisted in the final result will be eligible to register for NIFT PG counselling by paying the counselling registration fee. The authorities will conduct NIFT PG 2027 counselling in multiple rounds.

The NIFT seat allotment will be done based on the candidate's rank and the campus preferences submitted by them.

The steps in the NIFT PG exam spot round counselling 2027 include the following.

• Registration: Candidates have to register online for the NIFT PG counselling process
• Choice Filling: During the NIFT PG counselling registration process, the candidates need to select their preferred campuses. Candidates are free to give as many choices to maximise their chances of admission.
• Document Verification: The candidates need to upload the required documents, as the NIFT authorities will verify them to confirm seat eligibility.
• Seat Allotment: NIFT PG seats to the candidates will be allotted based on rank obtained, preference, and seat availability.
