NIFT PG Entrance Exam 2026: Answer Key Soon, Exam Analysis Out, Question Paper, Result, Expected Cutoff

The NTA has released the NIFT PG 2026 provisional answer key on February 17, 2026. Candidates can use the NIFT PG answer key 2026 to check their responses and estimate their probable scores before the release of NIFT PG final results. 

The authorities also opened an answer key challenge window till February 19 upto 11:50 pm, for the candidates to raise objections, if any. The fee to raise challenges is Rs 200 per challenged question. The authorities will prepare the NIFT PG final answer key 2026 after closing the objection window.

How to download the NIFT PG 2026 answer key?

Candidates need to download the NIFT PG answer key 2026 using the steps given below.

• Visit the official NIFT website - exams.nta.nic.in/niftee
• Check for the “NIFT answer key 2026” link and click on it.
• Log in with your user credentials.
• The screen will display the NIFT PG 2026 answer key.
• Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the download button for the NIFT PG 2026 answer key.
• Compare the answers using the NIFT PG answer key 2026.
• Mark the doubtful answers.
• Calculate the score.

For MDes & MFM Programmes:

• Age Limit: There is no age limit to apply for M.Des and MFM programmes.

• Academic Qualification: Candidates who completed their undergraduate degree in any discipline from any recognized  Institute/University. Also, the students who passed their undergraduate 3 years diploma from NIFT/NID.

For the MFTech programme: 

• Age Limit: There is no age limit to apply for the MFTech programme.

• Academic Qualification: Candidates who completed their BFTech. from National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT)

(or)

• B.E/B.Tech. from any recognized institute or university.

NOTE: The applicants appearing for the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply.

The National Testing Agency opened the NIFT PG application form 2026 on December 8, 2025. Candidates were allowed to complete NIFT registrations online from the official website. The window for NIFT PG 2026 registrations from NTA's official website is currently closed.

How to apply for the NIFT PG exam 2026?

Interested applicants can apply for NIFT PG exam 2026 online. Here are the steps to fill out the NIFT PG 2026 application form. 

• Visit the official website - exams.nta.nic.in/niftee

• Provide basic details such as name, email ID, and mobile number to register and generate login credentials.

• Log in using the ID and password allotted during NIFT PG registration.

• Fill in the required details in the NIFT PG application form 2026.

• Upload all the required documents.

• Pay the NIFT PG application fee.

• Submit and take the printout for further admission process. 

The NIFT PG exam pattern 2026 will be published in the official brochure published on the official website - nift.ac.in. The NIFT PG 2026 exam pattern informs the candidates about the type of questions, total number of questions, mode, and duration of the exam. The candidates shortlisted for the Master's programmes after the written entrance exam are required to undergo a Personal Interview (PI) round. 

Note: The number of questions in each section and each course may vary from year to year. Also, the difficulty levels in the questions for all courses may vary. 

Preparing for the NIFT PG exam 2026 is a quite challenging task for the design aspirants. Hence, the students are advised to check the preparation tips given below:

• Keep up with the latest fashion trends and industry news to enhance the general knowledge.
• Set certain duration of time and try to create the model within the given time limit as to create a real time environment.
• Practice to solve previous years' question papers to understand the exam pattern and and complete it within the set time limit.
• Participate mock tests to build confidence and identify the weak areas that need improvement.
• Engage in activities that enhance the creativity and visualisation skills, essential for the design aptitude tests. 

The National Testing Agency released the NIFT PG 2026 admit card on February 4, 2025 on its official website - exams.nta.nic.in/niftee. Candidates need to enter their login credentials to download the NIFT PG 2026 admit card. The NIFT 2026 city intimation slip has been issued on January 29, 2026.

The NIFT PG admit card contains details such as the candidate’s name, date of birth, application number, category, exam centre code, name and address, course name, reporting time, and candidate’s signature.  Candidates have to take a printout of the NIFT PG exam admit card 2026 and carry it to the exam centre on the interview day. Also, along with the NIFT PG 2026 admit card, the candidates have to carry a valid photo identity proof to the examination centre.

• Log in using the application number and password/and date of birth.
• The NIFT PG 2026 final results will appear on the screen.

The NIFT PG 2026 exam cutoff will be published on the official website - nift.admissions.nic.in. The NIFT PG cutoff 2026 will be published for each round of counselling. Only those candidates who clear the NIFT PG cut off will be offered admissions in each round.

The NIFT PG cutoff is the minimum rank required for candidates to obtain admission into the NIFT PG programmes. The NIFT PG 2026 exam cutoff will be based on different factors such as the difficulty levels of the exam, the total number of applications, the number of candidates who appeared for the exam, and the number of available seats. 

The authorities release the NIFT PG exam cutoff in the form of opening and closing ranks for each category, which includes Open, OBC-NC, SC, ST, PwD, EWS, NRI, Domicile-Open, Dom-UR, Dom-SC, SC-PwD, and ST-PwD. The NIFT PG cutoff indicates the last rank at which the candidate is offered admission. 

The NIFT PG counselling schedule will be notified online on the official website - nift.ac.in. The students shortlisted can register for the NIFT PG 2026 counselling online using the login credentials. The NIFT PG counselling 2026 is conducted in three rounds. During the NIFT PG counselling process, the selected candidates will be allocated seats as per their ranks and preferences provided for each NIFT campus.

The steps in the NIFT PG exam counselling 2026 include the following.

• Registration: Candidates have to register online for the NIFT PG counselling process.

• Choice Filling: During the NIFT PG counselling registration process, the candidates need to select their preferred campuses.

• Document Verification: The candidates need to upload the required documents as the NIFT authorities will verify them to confirm the seat eligibility.

• Seat Allotment: NIFT PG seats to the candidates will be allotted based on rank obtained, preference, and the seat availability.

• Payment of Fees: After NIFT PG seat allotment, the selected candidates need to pay the admission fee within the specified time limit to confirm their seat allotment.
