IIT Bombay will declare the CEED 2026 result on March 4, 2026. Candidates will be able to download the CEED result 2026 from the official website - ceed.iitb.ac.in through their login. The CEED exam scorecard will be available for download in online mode after the CEED 2026 results are declared. The CEED scorecard download dates are from March 10 to July 31, 2026. Only those candidates who obtain more than the qualifying marks in Part A of the CEED entrance exam will be evaluated for Part B. CEED Result

The scorecard of CEED 2026 will remain valid for one year from the date of declaration of the CEED result. Through the Common Entrance Exam for Design, candidates will be eligible for admission into the M.Des programmes of IITs and other participating institutes.

Aspirants will have to use their email ID and password to download the CEED 2026 result. The step-by-step procedure for the CEED result 2026 download is mentioned below.

How to check the CEED Result 2026?

To know the CEED result 2026, candidates will have to follow the steps below.

Step 1: Visit the CEED 2026 official website - ceed.iitb.ac.in.

Step 2: On the home page, click on the tab ‘Check CEED Result’.

Step 3: Enter the CEED login credentials, such as registered email ID and password.

Step 4: CEED Result 2026 PDF will be displayed on the screen.

Step 5: Download the result and take a printout of the scorecard.

CEED Scorecard 2026

IIT Bombay will release the CEED 2026 scorecard for the qualified candidates to access. Students must keep in mind that the concerned authority will not send the hard copy of the CEED scorecard individually via post/email. Candidates can only download the CEED scorecard 2026 from the official website - ceed.iitb.ac.in.

CEED scorecard will be valid for one year from the date of the announcement of the result. Students are advised to keep the scorecard safe as the participating institute will verify the category certificate, eligibility, and other relevant documents along with the CEED scorecard at the time of admission. With the help of CEED answer key candidates can estimate their CEED scores.

Important Points of CEED Result 2026

CEED ranks will be given separately according to the categories. Check the following to know the details of CEED ranks.

1. Open Rank - This rank is given to the candidates whose marks in Part A and CEED score are equal to or greater than 38 and 30, respectively.

2. EWS Rank - This rank will be awarded to the EWS candidates of a general category. They will also get an open rank as there is no separate cutoff on marks for EWS.

3. SC/ST/OBC - NCL Rank - This rank will be given to candidates other than the general category as per their birth certificate. However, this rank will hold true only if the candidates submit the relevant original documents for verification at the time of admission. If students fail to produce the relevant document they will fall under the open category only if they secure the open rank.

4. Open PwD Rank - If the marks of the PwD candidates in Part A and the score of CEED are equal to or greater than 19 and 15 respectively, then they will be awarded the Open PwD rank. This rank will hold true at the time of admission only if they submit the relevant original documents at the time of admission else they will fall under the open category if they get the open category rank and do not avail of the compensatory time.

NOTE- If they avail compensatory time, * will be marked in the scorecard against the PwD category.

5. OBC-NCL PwD Rank - The qualified PwD candidates of the OBC-NCL category will be awarded the OBC-NCL PwD rank along with the open PwD rank if their marks in Part A and CEED score are equal to or greater than 34.2 and 27 respectively. However to consider this rank if they have to submit the relevant original documents at the time of admission for verification.

If candidates fail to produce the required documents then,

  • If OBC-NCL PwD candidates secure the rank of OBC-NCL and do not avail of the compensatory time, then they will be considered for the OBC-NCL category.

  • Again they can be considered for the Open PwD category if they have the Open PwD rank

  • If they get an Open rank and did not avail of compensatory time, then OBC-NCL PwD candidates can also be considered for the Open category.

  • If PwD candidates availed compensatory time, * will be marked in the scorecard against the PwD category.

6. SC/ ST/ PwD Rank - This rank will be given to the PwD candidates of SC/ ST as per their birth category. However to consider SC/ST-PWD rank they have to submit the requisite documents at the time of admission for verification.

If candidates fail to produce the relevant documents for verification then,

  • PwD candidates of ST/ SC can be considered for SC/ ST category if they secure SC/ ST rank and did not avail of any compensatory time.

  • They can be considered for the Open PwD category with their Open PwD rank.

  • ST/ SC PwD candidates will be considered for the Open category if they have the Open rank and did not avail of compensatory time.

  • If PwD candidates availed compensatory time, * will be marked in the scorecard against the PwD category.

CEED Cutoff 2026

IIT Bombay will release the CEED results cutoff for Part A on its official website on February 5, 2026. The CEED cutoff will be released in the form of mean and standard deviation.

Candidates who secure fewer marks than the CEED cutoff 2026 will not be eligible to apply for admission at the participating institutes. Students must score the minimum marks or above the cutoff of CEED to qualify for admission.

A total of 10 Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) are participating in the CEED 2026 exam for admissions. Apart from this, many other universities and institutes will provide admission to candidates in the Design programs offered by them based on CEED 2026 scores. What After CEED Results?

Students must note that obtaining a CEED rank does not guarantee admission to colleges accepting CEED scores for admission. If candidates have been shortlisted for admission based on their performance in CEED, then they need to separately fill out the application form at each college that accepts CEED scores for M.Des admissions.

Thereafter, candidates will be required to meet the admission requirements listed by each college, which usually include appearing for another written test/interview round.

While the CEED score is important, most of the institutes use full selection process that includes your CEED score(Part A and B), Portfolio and often an interview or studio tests.Your 6 years of experience, strong portfolio and relevant coursera certificates can add significant value during admission in IITDM, Srishti etc which consider the overall profile not just the rank.
