    IIT Bombay released the CEED 2026 cut-off for Part A on its official website - ceed.iit.ac.in on February 05, 2026. Only those candidates who score more than the cutoff for part A of the CEED 2026 entrance exam will be shortlisted for evaluation of Part B of CEED 2026. The CEED cutoff for Part A has been released in the format of the mean and a standard deviation. The calculation for the mean and standard deviation is based on the performance of the candidates who appeared for the CEED 2026.

    CEED Cut-off Details

    The CEED cut-off is set by IIT Bombay and represents the minimum score required to progress through different stages of the admission process. The Part A cut-off is the qualifying benchmark that candidates must meet to be considered for Part B evaluation. Only those who clear the Part A cut-off are eligible for further assessment.
    For admission to M.Des programmes at IIT Bombay and other participating institutes such as IIT Kanpur, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Delhi, Roorkee, IIITDM Jabalpur, and IISc Bengaluru, candidates must secure a competitive CEED rank, as institute-level cut-offs vary.

    How to Calculate CEED Cut-off 2026 for Part A?

    The students who appear for CEED 2026 entrance exam need to obtain a specified percentage to qualify for Part A. The process of calculating the CEED cutoff for Part A is given in the table below.

    µ + (σ/ 2) = δ where µ and σ are the average marks and standard deviation of the distribution of marks obtained by all the candidates in CEED Part-A. The µ and σ will be rounded off to two decimal places

    CEED Cut off marks for the OBC-NCL category

    The cutoff for OBC-NCL category candidates will be 0.9δ

    CEED Cut off marks for ST, SC, and PWD category

    The cutoff SC, ST, and PWD categories will be 0.5δ
