IISc Bangalore M.Des Admission 2019 - Indian Institute of Science has released the application form for IISc Bangalore M.Des 2019 admission on February 1. The last date for filling the form is March 25. Candidates must go through the eligibility criteria before they start filling the registration form. Students will be shortlisted for the M.Des programme on the basis of their CEED and GATE score. Eligibility Criteria for IISc Bangalore M.Des Admission 2019

IISc Bangalore M.Des eligibility criteria 2019 comprises the minimum marks which the candidates must score to be eligible to apply for admission as well as qualification in GATE or CEED entrance test.

  • Candidates must have completed their bachelor’s degree in engineering such as Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology, Bachelor of Design or Bachelor of Design. 

  • Candidates must possess a valid GATE 2017/ 2018/ 2019 or CEED 2019 

  • Candidates who are in the final year of engineering, they will also be eligible to apply for IISC M.Des admission. However, such candidates will have to submit the proof of passing at the time of admission. 

What to keep ready before filling the application form of IISC M.Des Admission 2019

Candidates must keep the following documents and information ready with them before they start filling the IISC M.Des application form 2019. 

  • Net banking details

How to Fill IISC Bangalore M.Des Application Form 2019

Candidates can follow the steps that are given below to fill the application form of IISC Bangalore M.Des 2019. The application form of IISc Bangalore M.Des 2019 is available from February 1 and the last date for filling the form is March 25. 

Step 1 - Register for IISC Bangalore M.Des Admission 2019

Candidates will have to create a new account and then proceed to fill the IISC Bangalore M.Des application form 2019. 

Candidates will have to register as a new user by entering their email address and password. The email address should be used judiciously by the candidates a they will not be allowed to change it. 

Registration form for IISC Bangalore M.Des 2019 Admission

Candidates will have to enter the following information in the registration form: 

  • Name of the candidate 

  • Password 

  • Date of birth 

  • Email address 

  • Category of the candidate - It must be selected carefully by the candidates as they will not be allowed to change it later on. Candidates belonging to the reserved category will have to upload the scanned image of the caste certificate 

  • Choose the security question 

  • Enter the answer to the security question 

After the submission of the registration form, candidates would receive an email and candidates would have to verify it by clicking on the link that is provided

Registration process would be complete after the verification of email address 

Step 2 - Login to fill the IISC Bangalore M.Des Admission Application Form 2019

Rm There are four different tabs under various sub-heads in the application form of IISC Bangalore M.Des 2019. These four tab are (i) Personal Details (ii) Preference of Departments (iii)Details of Qualifications (iv) Application Fees 

Step 3 - Fill all the Personal Details In IISC Bangalore M.Des 2019 Application Form 

In this section of the application form of IISC Bangalore M.Des 2019 admission, candidates would have to enter the following information: 

  • Name of the candidate which will be autofilled 

  • Date of birth which will be autofilled 

  • Email address which will be autofilled

  • Choose the gender 

  • Select the nationality 

  • Select the state of domicile 

  • Select the country

  • Choose the category 

  • Choose the category if the candidate is an OBC

  • Choose the sub-category 

  • Provide the contact details in the application form 

  • If the candidate is employed then in such a case, candidate will have to provide the name of the company, address of the office, designation and experience.

Step 4 - Upload the Documents 

Candidates will now have to upload the scanned image of the candidate, signature and the caste certificate in the IISC Bangalore M.Des application form 2019.

Click on the “save and proceed button” after uploading the necessary documents. 

Step 5 - Select the department 

In this section of the application form of IISC Bangalore M.Des 2019 candidates would have to mention the following details:

  • Name of the qualifying degree 

  • Specialisation branch 

  • Status whether the candidate has passed or is appearing 

  • Mention the CEED Roll Number and the marks if they are known to the candidates 

  • Select the preference of department. If the candidate is applying to only one discipline then they can leave the others blank.

Step 6 - Details about the qualification 

In this part of the IISC Bangalore M.Des 2019 application form, candidates will have to mention the following information:

  • Enter the school name of from where the candidate has passed 10th, 12th or has completed his or her under graduation or post graduation 

  • Enter the place where the school or college is located

  • Mention the percentage of marks scored by the candidate in Class X, XII, Diploma, Undergraduate and postgraduate level 

  • Enter the subjects which you have studied 

  • Enter the rank that you have secured if any 

  • Enter the semester wise marks 

  • Mention the percentage or the GPA at the undergraduate level 

Note: Candidates must ensure that they their undergraduate and postgraduate degree details match with those of the qualifying degree details which the candidates have mentioned in the “Preference of departments” page. 

Step 7 - Pay the fees for the application form of IISC Bangalore M.Des 2019 

Candidates belonging to General and Other Backward Class (OBC) will have to pay Fee of Rs 800 while those who belong to SC, ST, PwD category they will have to pay Rs 400.

Candidates will have to click on the submit button after they have paid the fees. 

Step 8 - Preview the IISC Bangalore M.Des Admission Application Form 2019

Candidates will have the option to preview the application form of of IISC Bangalore M.Des 2019. 

After that candidates will have to check the box out of which it is written that the details mentioned in the application form of IISC Bangalore M.Des 2019 are correct. 

Step 9 - Click on the Confirm to Submit button 

Candidates will now have to click the “confirm to submit button” and then the IISC Bangalore M.Des application form 2019 will appear on the screen. 

Step 10- Take Print Out of the Application Form 

Candidates would have to take print out of the application form of IISC Bangalore M.Des 2019 and keep it safely for future reference. 

IISC Bangalore M.Des Admit Card 2019

Candidates will be able to access the admit card of IISC Bangalore M.Des 2019 after they have successfully registered for IISC Bangalore M.Des admission 2019. The IISC Bangalore M.Des 2019 admit card will contain the name of the candidate, roll number of the candidate, date and time of the entrance exam, venue of the exam, instructions to be followed at the time of the exam.

IISC Bangalore M.Des Selection Process 2019

Candidates would be selected for IISC Bangalore M.Des Admission on the basis of the performance in the design aptitude test, followed by the interview. 

Documents to be carried at the time of the selection process of IISC Bangalore M.Des Admission 2019

Candidates will have to carry with them the following documents at the time of the interview:

  • Attested copies of all their marks cards from SSLC or its equivalent onwards, degree certificates of the qualifying examinations, etc.

  • Candidates belonging to the SC/ST category ill have to bring with them the original caste/tribe certificate which is issued by a recognised authority for the purposes of verification.

  • Candidates belonging to the OBC non-creamy layer/minorities (as listed in the Central list) will have to carry with them the original certificates which have to be issued on or after January 1st , 2018 by a recognised authority.

  • Persons with disability (PwD) and Kashmiri-Migrants (KM) will have to provide the originals of the appropriate certificates that have been issued as per Government of India rules.

IISC Bangalore M.Des Result 2019

The result of IISC Bangalore M.Des 2019 will be announced tentatively in June. IISC Bangalore M.Des result 2019 will include the names of candidates who will be offered admission. In order to confirm their admission, candidates will have to report at the institute and pay the requisite fees.

IISC Bangalore M.Des Cutoff 2019

The cutoff of M.Des IISC 2019 is the minimum marks which the candidates must score to be eligible to participate in the admission process.

A candidates must have passed a degree/diploma/postgraduate degree programme of 4 years or 3+2 years.
Candidates who will be taking the final exam of such programmes by July 2020 or those who have passed GD Arts diploma programme by July 2019 can also apply.

CEED 2020 eligibility criteria in terms of educational qualifications is as follows:-

• A candidate with any recognized degree/diploma/post graduate degree program of 4 years or 3+2 years(after 10+2 level) or 3 years after 10+2 can apply.

• Candidates in their final year or who are awaiting their results can also apply for the same.

• Also GD Arts Diploma candidates who have passed the program by July 2020 can apply.

Hi,

CEED - is COMMON ENTRANCE EXAM FOR DESIGN 2020. The eligibility to appear for CEED exam is

Candidates must have completed a degree / diploma / post graduate degree programme of minimum 3 years (after 10+2 level), or must be appearing for the final examination of such a program by July 2020, or must have passed the GD Arts diploma programme (10+5 level) by July 2020.

So you are eligibile to appear for CEED exam. However admission criteria for different college is different than eligibility for appearing ceet exam. so you should also check college admission eligibility criteria in which you want to take admission.

is exam pattern for CEED and NIFT same?

Hey,


The exam pattern of both the exams is little different.

CEED examination ( conducted by IIT , Bombay) consists of 2 sections- A and B. Section A will contain 41 questions and section be will contain 5 questions( 20 marks each question). Both section will be of 100 marks each. Part A will be computer based and B will be pen- paper based.

Part A will be a screening test and those who qualify part A will be evaluated for part B.

And for NIFT , the GAT paper for B.Des will consist of 100 questions and the total marks of examination is also 100. And for B.F.Tech, the number of questions will be 150. The exam is offline, paper based.

And CAT paper will consist of 3 questions and marks will be out of 100.
Admission in B.F.Tech will be fully based on GAT whereas for B.Des the weightage of CAT is 50% , GAT is 30% and situation test will be of 20%.

Though, the syllabus is quite similar for both the examinations (CEED And NIFT)
