IIT Bombay M.Des Admission 2020 eligibility criteria include the academic qualification and the minimum percentage of marks which the candidate must score to be eligible to apply for admission.
Minimum percentage of marks: Candidates who are from the general category must have scored at least 55% marks while those who are from the general category must have scored at least 50% marks in the respective streams

Candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in design, architecture, engineering, interior design
The four-year B.Sc (engineering) course after HSC is considered equivalent to Bachelor of engineering and bachelor of technology.
Candidates will have to hold a professional diploma/certificate in design: 10+2+4 years (minimum four-year diploma course)

GD Art (4-year programme after a one-year foundation. Candidate must be at least 10th pass).

Professional Diploma/certificate in Design: 10+2+4 years (minimum four-year diploma program)

The admission committee decides your admission on overall criteria of your previous academic performance, work experience, performance in design test, and performance in an interview, portfolio and CEED scores.
Candidates need to bring all your original certificates (higher secondary onwards) and CEED scorecard, testimonials with Xeroxed attested copies of each. If candidates have completed your final examination but waiting for their results, candidates bring a certificate from the Principal/ Registrar of your Institute to that effect.
There will be about 3 or 4 faculty members of IDC and you will be given an opportunity to present design-related initiatives and creative work done by you. This could comprise earlier student projects or professional works. The interviews will be held at the venue and there may be questions about your future plans, your background, your portfolio, your strengths & weaknesses and your aptitude to design, creative ideas etc.
If you have applied for both the programmes (ID and VC), you will have to appear for both the tests in ID and VC. You will be interviewed for each of the programmes separately.

CEED 2020 eligibility criteria in terms of educational qualifications is as follows:-
• A candidate with any recognized degree/diploma/post graduate degree program of 4 years or 3+2 years(after 10+2 level) or 3 years after 10+2 can apply.
• Candidates in their final year or who are awaiting their results can also apply for the same.
