CEED is a national-level entrance exam for students who want to join MDes courses. The purpose of the CEED exam is to select the best candidates for the MDes and PhD course admissions. Various IITs and other CEED colleges accepting CEED results offer courses specialising in design studies.
The Common Entrance Examination for Design has some set CEED exam eligibility criteria that the students need to fulfil. Not fulfilling the CEED exam eligibility criteria might mean that the students will not be able to take admission into the desired college. All the CEED colleges participating in this exam have different sets of eligibility criteria. However, the most common ones that are required as the CEED exam eligibility criteria are listed below.
As per the previous year's schedule, the CEED 2027 exam is expected to be held for 3 hours with a total of 250 marks. Within the three hours, students will have to attempt two parts of the exam, with Part A of the exam expected to be held for 1 hour in online mode, and Part B of the exam will be conducted for 2 hours in offline mode. Candidates can check the official website for any changes in the exam pattern, and the same will be updated here. The details of the pattern of the exam are discussed below.
As per the previous year's CEED exam pattern, part A had a duration of 1 hour in which the students had to attempt online questions which consist of Numerical Answer Type, Multiple Select Questions and Multiple-Choice Questions. The total marks for the CEED exam are 150. The number of questions that the students need to attempt in part A of the CEED exam is 44. Each question from Part A will have a different marking pattern, and it also carries negative markings. The marking scheme of part A has been explained below.

As per the previous year's trends, the CEED Part B will consist of 5 questions with 20 marks for each question. The total marks for the CEED part B are considered to be 100 marks. The CEED Part B paper will be conducted offline, and the students will have to present their answers on the answer sheet. Through this paper, students will have to show their creativity and drawing skills.
