    About IICD Entrance Test 2026

    Indian Institute of Crafts and Design, Jaipur has notified the IICD entrance exam schedule on the official website - iicd.ac.in. Candidates can submit the IICD 2026 application form on the official website until the last date, March 31, 2026. All candidates who have completed registration will be able to download the IICD entrance test card cum question paper. Candidates can download the IICD Admit Card 2026 cum Question Paper from the official website on April 5, 2026 and submit it before the deadline on April 20, 2026. Through the IICD entrance exam, candidates will be admitted into the B.Des and M.Des programmes of the institute. 

    The IICD entrance test consists of the entrance test, which is then followed by a 20-minute interview. The IICD Admit Card 2026 will have the entrance exam attached to it, as well as the date and timings for the IICD Personal Interview round. The IICD syllabus 2026 evaluates candidates on general awareness, creativity, perception, and material handling.  The personal interview round evaluates the candidate's aptitude for crafts, awareness about design, communication ability, intelligence, and performance in academics and co-curricular activities.

    IICD Entrance Test Important Dates

    IICD Entrance Test Indian Institute of Crafts and Design Entrance Test (session 2026)

    The authorities release the eligibility criteria of IICD 2026 along with the brochure. The IICD eligibility criteria 2026 include requirements regarding minimum educational qualification, minimum passing marks, and other relevant details to secure admission into the design programmes. The applicants, before filling out the application form, must ensure that they meet the IICD 2026 eligibility criteria. The details are as 

    B.Design: 

    • Candidates must have passed 10+2 from a recognised education board.

    • Candidates appearing for the qualifying exam are also eligible to apply.

    M.Design:

    • Candidates must have passed graduation is design and architecture from a recognised institution/university which include B.Des, B.Arch, B.Voc in Design, BSc. in Design.

    • Candidates appearing for the final year graduation examinations may also apply.

    Note: There is no age limit for the candidates to apply for B.Des or M.Des courses.

    Application Fees: The candidates are required to make an online payment of Rs.1750 (Rs. One Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty only) as an application fee. The application fee for foreign nationals is Rs.3500.

    The IICD exam pattern 2026 is released on the official website - iicd.ac.in. The IICD exam pattern includes the examination mode, concepts, weightage, and more. First candidates have to appear for the entrance exam, and then appear for a personal interview.

    IICD Exam Pattern 2026

    • The first part of the IICD entrance exam is the general awareness, creativity, and perception test. This test evaluates the interest and abilities in students, such as estimation of sizes and proportions, observation, synthesis, visual interpretation, and general knowledge.

    • The second part of the IICD entrance exam is the material, colour, and conceptual test. It will evaluate candidates on the intelligent use of materials, and conceptualising and creating a 3-dimensional form. It will also evaluate the candidate's thinking skills and ability to come up with solutions in a descriptive form.

    • The personal interview in the IICD admission process is designed to test the aptitude in crafts, IQ, communication ability, general awareness about crafts & design, and achievements in academics and extra-curricular activities.

    For the candidates to through in the IICD entrance exam, it is necessary to follow some important preparation instructions given below.

    • Check the previous exam pattern, which includes the type of questions, marking scheme, and time allotted to each of the sections.

    The Indian Institute of Crafts and Design will issue the IICD admit card 2026 cum question paper online.     Students will be shortlisted based on their performance in the IICD entrance exam which consists of entrance test and the interview round. Shortlisted candidates are required to report to the Indian Institute of Crafts and Design (IICD), Jaipur, along with their admit card on the specified date mentioned against their enrollment number in the merit list. The selected candidates are required to confirm the seat, and should pay the IICD fee online 

    All selected candidates will be informed about their selection through an admission letter, which will be mailed to their registered email ID. The admission letter contains the following information:
