The Indian Institute of Craft and Design will give candidates the opportunity to seek admission to their 4 year BDes and 2 year MDes programmes via IICD 2026. To be successful in the IICD entrance examination 2026 candidates need to prepare and score well in the three sections of the entrance test. Candidates can receive their IICD Admit Card 2026 cum Question paper at the end of May 2026, tentatively with a Personal Interview expected in June 2026. A workable exam plan and a lot of practice are necessary to get a good IICD 2026 result. It is important for the candidates to understand the exam pattern of IICD before starting the preparation for the exam. With the help of IICD 2026 exam pattern, candidates can check various aspects, such as marking scheme, mode of exam. According to the exam pattern, the IICD entrance exam consists of three parts A, B and C. The detailed exam pattern of each part is given below.
Part A - This test is designed to evaluate the abilities and interests in students, such as estimation of sizes and proportion, observation, synthesis and visual interpretation and general awareness.

Part C - The last part is a personal interview round. The examination cell conducts the interview in online mode through video conferencing. It is advisable to bring a few samples of your creative work for display during the interview. Sketching, painting, embroidery, photography, worked with material, or have written anything creative, narrative etc.
