The aspirants planning to be admitted to the IIAD design course must meet the eligibility criteria as prescribed by the institute for admissions into its UG and PG programmes. The IIAD eligibility criteria is provided separately for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

Eligibility Criteria for Undergraduate Programme

• Candidates with 10+2 or equivalent from any stream (Science, Commerce, Humanities/Arts) with 50% as minimum score. 
• The students who are going to appear for class 12 exams or who are awaiting their class 12 results are also eligible to apply.
• The students from CBSE/ISC/State/IB or any other equivalent Indian or International Higher Secondary Board are eligible.

Postgraduate Programme Eligibility Criteria

• Graduates from any stream or discipline from a recognised institute/university.
• Final-year graduate students are also eligible.
• Candidates who are awaiting results may also apply.

Indian Institute of Art & Design will tentatively open the IIAD 2027 application form in September 2026. Candidates can register online on its official website - iiad.edu.in. While filling out the application form, applicants must pay Rs. 2500 as the application fee online. 

The institute will accept the IIAD 2027 registrations in multiple phases with a separate deadline for each phase. The applicants are advised to keep the following documents ready to carry out the application submission process smoothly. Ensure that the scanned copies of the documents are available.

Steps to fill out the IIAD 2027 application form

• First, visit the official website of IIAD - iiad.edu.in.
• Next, find and click on the “Apply” link. 
• Next, choose the course for which you want to apply.
• Then, click on the link called “Click here to Apply”.
• Fill out the IIAD registration form with basic details such as name, email ID, and mobile number to generate the login credentials.
• Next, log in to the dashboard using the login credentials and fill out the IIAD entrance exam application form.
• Then, pay the application fee of Rs 2500 in online mode.
• Finally, submit the completed application form and take a printout of it for your future use.

IIAD Delhi prescribes the IIAD exam pattern and syllabus on its official website. The IIAD DAT exam pattern informs candidates about the exam structure and marks distribution. The total marks of the entrance exam are 100.  The IIAD entrance exam is conducted for two days. The IIAD DAT admit card 2027 will be issued in online mode, a few days before the exam. Registered candidates can download the IIAD DAT 2027 admit card from their email.  The admit card is a mandatory document for the exam. The candidates must carry the IIAD admit card to the exam centre. The candidates must also display an original photo Identity proof that will be validated by the examiner at the exam centre.
