Admissions at Army Institute of Fashion and Design will be provided to children of eligible serving Army personnel, eligible ex-Army personnel and wards of war widows/widows of the Army. Students, who belong to following categories, can fill application form of AIFD WAT 2018-
Ward of serving Army personnel with minimum 10 years of continuous service in the army
Ward of ex-Army personnel granted/awarded regular pension, family pension, liberalized family pension or disability pension at the time of their demise, discharge, superannuation, release medical board/invalided medical board
Adopted/Step Children and Children of Remarried Widows
Adopted children of Army personnel who is adopted at least five years prior to seeking admission at AIFD
Stepchild provided that he/she is born from a marriage where at least one parent, who is otherwise eligible, belonged to the Army
Children of APS/MNS/TA Personnel
Applicants must have cleared (10+2)/equivalent examination from a recognized board recognized by UGC/University with at least 35% marks (any stream).
Candidates passing through distance education system or privately through NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling) must have the same combination of subjects in both standards- 11 and 12.
Applicants have to be certified as mentally and physically fit by MH/RHO/registered medical practitioner.

AIFD WAT Application Form 2018 was available from the first week of February onwards. The deadline for receipt of applications was March 25. The application form for appearing in AIFD WAT 2018 could be downloaded and submitted along with demand draft.
