Through the MAH B.Design Common Entrance Test, candidates will be offered admission into a 4-year B.Des programme of participating colleges in Maharashtra. The MAH B.Des seat allotment will be done based on the candidate's rank in the MAH B.Des CET 2026 and the college preferences given by them. Candidates have to clear the MAH B.Des CET cut-off for each round of counseling to obtain seat allotment.
CET Cell Maharashtra will announce the MAH BDes CET counselling schedule 2026 at cetcell.mahacet.org. The CET Cell will tentatively conduct four rounds of MAH CET B.Des counselling. The centralised counselling rounds will be followed by institute-level counselling.

The MAH B.Design CET counselling 2026 is the centralised process conducted by the CET Cell Maharashtra for admissions into the B.Des programme of participating colleges in Maharashtra. The counselling process is also known as the Centralised Admission Process (CAP). There will be multiple CAP rounds in the MAH CET B.Des counselling 2026. Only those candidates who clear the cut-off for each CAP round will be eligible to obtain a seat allotment.
The step-by-step process in the MAH B.Des CET counselling is given below
Step 1: Candidates must apply and register themselves for the counselling process. Candidates can register through online mode. To register, candidates have to enter personal details like name, contact information, category, mailing address, email ID, etc.
Step 2: Proceed further by filling in the educational qualifications to participate in the centralized admission process, i.e., MAH CET BDes 2026.
Step 3: Candidates will have to upload the documents as per the specifications provided by the authorities.
Step 4: Meanwhile, the State Common Entrance Test Cell will release the provisional merit list of selected candidates. Candidates facing any problems can submit their grievances. The final merit lists will be displayed on the official website.
Step 5: Candidates can view category-wise seats, i.e., seat matrix for CAP rounds I and above (if any).
Step 6: Candidates will be allowed to submit their college preferences in the order of their preferences. Candidates can obtain the seat allotment only in those colleges that are part of their preference.
Step 7: The State Common Entrance Test cell will display the provisional allotment list of CAP rounds. The seat allotment will be done based on the candidate's rank and the college preferences given by them. The CET Cell will also publish the MAH B.Des CET cut-off along with the seat allotment.
Step 8: Shortlisted candidates are required to report and, if admitted, accept the seats offered as per the CAP allotment round of the Admission Reporting Center (ARC).
Step 9: More than 340 FCs, i.e., Facilitation Centres in participating institutions of MAH CET BDes 2026 are expected to be set up by the State Common Entrance Test Cell for admission
Step 10: If the candidates are not satisfied with the allotment, they can surrender their seats to participate in the next CAP round

The MAH B.Des CET CAP allotment 2026 is released for each round of counselling. Candidates will be able to check the seat allotment results of MAH BDes CET Counselling from the admission portal and download the seat allotment letter. In the MAH CET CAP rounds 2026, applicants will be given three options in the Common Admission Process.
Auto Freeze - If a candidate gets one among the first preferences (in CAP 1), first three preferences (in CAP 2), and first six preferences (in CAP 3), the seat is automatically frozen and the candidate is not allowed to participate in further rounds.
Freeze: Candidates who accept the seats offered to them (which is not their first preference) and do not wish to participate in further rounds of seat allotment have the option to freeze their seats. Such candidates will not be called for further admission rounds.
Betterment: Candidates who has accepted the seat allotted in the CAP rounds but wish to be considered for further rounds of admission can choose freeze. However, this option will be available only to those candidates who have not got the first preference in CAP round 1, not got the first three preferences in CAP round 2, and not got the first six preferences in CAP round 3.
