The State Common Entrance Test Cell of Maharashtra released the official MAH BDes syllabus 2025 at cetcell.mahacet.org. As per MAH BDes syllabus, part A of paper is given to assess the visualisation and illustration ability, and part B include topics focusing on design thinking and problem-solving and part C includes questions from general knowledge.
MAH B.Design exam syllabus 2025 include various topics and chapters that are essential for the Maharashtra CET Design exam. The syllabus for MAH CET for the Design programme is divided into three parts, Part A is Visualization and Illustration Ability, and lasts for 45 minutes, while Part B focuses on Design thinking & Problem Solving abilities, also lasting for 60 minutes.
Part A is further divided into four sections: General Knowledge/ Awareness, Art & Design Fundamentals, Science & Technology, Analytical and Logical Reasoning,
Part B is of one section: Design Thinking and Problem-Solving.
Part C comprises of General Knowledge with multiple choice objective type questions and Numerical answer type questions.
The MAH BDes CET exam paper is divided into three parts - Part A, Part B, & Part C with a total of 200 marks. The paper will include 60 multiple-choice questions and 2 sketching questions. The duration of the MAH BDes CET test will be 2 hours 45 minutes with no negative marking.
The MAH B.Des CET is an examination crafted to assess students’ aptitude abilities, including their capacity for detailed observation, innovative thinking, analytical prowess, visualisation skills, and manual dexterity.

Top Design Entrance Exams
The PART A - Duration: 45 minutes - test will consist of questions from sketching illustration using pencils, colour pencils, ink pens.
PART B - Duration: 60 minutes - test will evaluate design thinking and problem solving illustration skills, as well as the ability to conceptualise products or ideas using pencils, color pencils, markers, sketch pens, pens, and other suitable colouring mediums.
PART C - Duration: 60 minutes - test will evaluate candidate's knowledge by giving multiple choice objective type questions Numerical answer type questions.
Marking Scheme: There is no negative marking System for this test.
