Only shortlisted candidates from NIFT 2026 who applied for B.Des will be called to appear for the NIFT 2026 situation test. NIFT 2026 situation dates will be announced soon on the official webiste. The situation test in NIFT 2026 is the second round in the NIFT admission process for the B.Des programme. Attending the situation test is compulsory, and it carries a significant weight in the selection process.
The NIFT situation test is a practical assessment that evaluates a candidate’s material handling skills and innovative abilities. The candidates are asked to create a model in a given scenario from the given materials. The NIFT situation test model must be created as per the rules and guidelines specified by the authorities.
In addition to creating the model, candidates are also required to submit a write-up in English explaining the concept and idea behind the model.
