The NTA declared the NIFT result 2025 for stage 1 online on April 24, 2025. Entrance exam for NIFT Delhi admission 2025 was held on February 9. NIFT Delhi admission process consists of three stages, entrance exam, situation test, and counselling. To get into National Institute of Fashion Technology, Delhi one has to first appear for the NIFT entrance examination which was conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The exam for NIFT Delhi Admission is National Institute of Fashion Technology Entrance Exam. NIFT Delhi entrance exam was conducted by NTA to fulfil the total seats in NIFT Delhi and other campuses in various UG and PG programmes. The entrance exam has two parts. The first part is CAT , which is the Creative Ability Test and GAT, which is General Ability Test. CAT assesses your design aptitude, creativity, innovation and observation skills and it is required only for design students. While GAT evaluates your general knowledge, quantitative ability, communication ability, analytical ability, and English comprehension. NIFT Delhi admission is solely based on the entrance exam and situation test/personal interview. However, before applying one must go through the eligibility criteria for NIFT Delhi admission. For B.Des and B.FTech students, the minimum eligibility criteria is a qualification in 10+2 or equivalent from any recognized university in India. The candidates should be less than 24 years on August 1 in the year of application. For B.Des, there is no particular stream required; anyone can apply, but for B.FTech, candidates need to have maths, physics, and chemistry as a compulsory subject in 12th grade.
For M.Des, MFM and M.F.Tech courses there is no age limit. For qualification, applying candidates must have a graduation degree or minimum diploma of three years completed from NIFT/NID.
There is no separate application form for NIFT Delhi admission 2025. However, students need to fill the NIFT application form 2025 at nift.ac.in. The students could fill this application form and pay an application fee if they are eligible for NIFT.
The students who appeared for the NIFT Delhi entrance exam were required to download the admit card which was available on the official website. The students could download the admit card from the official website only through their email ID and password. The NIFT Delhi admit card had the information about the students name, roll number, application number, centre and date of exam. The NIFT admit card is a very important part of the examination as without it the students were not allowed to appear in the entrance exam. The National Institute of Fashion Technology conducts counselling after the students have checked the results. The students who complete the registration process for the counselling need to fill an application form with the details of the state domicile, date of birth category etc. The students will also need to upload the certificate of their caste and tribe if necessary. The students who successfully submit the application form for NIFT counselling will need to fill in their choices and lock them. The students need to fill in the NIFT choices that will be available campus wise and program wise. The students will have to lock the choices before the seat allotment process begins.
Based on the marks obtained in the NIFT entrance exam and situation test, the authorities will announce the NIFT Delhi seat allotment 2025. The nationwide Institute of Fashion Technology offers a nationwide entrance exam called NIFT for admission to its fashion design programmes.
